Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

I bought those skinny cow salted caramel treats too - the perfect indulgence in the afternoon without the guilt! Hope your day is great Katie :-)
ReplyDeleteThose look deadly! I just picked up that book as well. And, the Josie Maran oil is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI have found some of my favorite things from YOUR favorites...I read the Emily Giffin book and loved it...and also LOVE the Josie Moran argan oil but don't usually splurge on myself (I know...I know) - if I could buy it half price at Marshall's I would definitely stock up. Now about those Skinny Cow bars...I need them NOW! Stay cool!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe are having a gorgeous day in Chicago so I will send it your way. Look for it to arrive later in the week. The Skinny Cow bars have just been added to my grocery list. You had me at "salted caramel".....mmmmm, caramel......
ReplyDeleteI love The Skimm, it's my level of news. I love this post and I want to try everything. I think I'll start with those skinny cow bars, maybe even while I'm reading the book and moisturizing. I just read a book called Room. It is kind of heavy at times, told from a child's perspective, and at times, your heart breaks, but all that to say, it's a good book! :)

I'm going to have to look for those bars, I've only had the ice cream sandwiches which are also yummy. Two of my favorite things right now are - Dipbrow Pomade by Anastasia and Rita Hazan root concealer. The pomade goes on with a brush and works much better than a pencil (at least for me). I don't feel like I look so old lady. And, my gray roots grow so fast after 3 wks I need to do something. The Rita Hazan works very well until the next appt. Both of these go on dark so you might need a lighter shade than you think. I am also still in love with my Fitbit! Have a great day Katie!
ReplyDeleteKatie, I tried the Skinny Cow bars a few weeks ago. They're too good! As for the Jose Maran oil, I've been using it since she started selling it in QVC. She makes a lot of other products using the oil that are so indulgent. Keep those favorites coming.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'll be getting some of those Skinny Bars tomorrow. Never heard of the oil but will check that out. Always enjoy finding out about "stuff." Thanks for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love fresh products! All their fragrances & skin products. Their Seaberry Facial oil can be a bit pricey but works so well & lasts. I will be away for a few days up in the mountains for a girl's trip (feel like you & sista or Dude). There is no cell service in the town & no internet at my friend's house so I will write you all about it on my return! Stay cool. xoxo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, dear Dawn. Call me if you need bail $$.
DeleteCame over from Mocadeaux to say hello. Ice cream, books, and pampering products--my kind of post!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite go too eye product now is Sisley Eye contour mask.. it really does reduce puffiness and lines in 20 minutes but you can leave it on you eyes under makeup all day! I love argan oil too!
