Hello, dear friends. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend. I had a fantabulous time celebrating my birthday with my Sista.
Remember the balloons from my Dad's 100th?
My Sista drove three hours in the car with these balloons. Evidently, the store was out of "4's" and had to give her a "6" instead.
We celebrated my big day at Sorellina's. The food and service were outstanding. My #1 had a bottle of vino sent to us. And my #2 had a flower arrangement delivered to the hotel room. She also sent me my new scarf that I am modeling in the photo.
I told them that they get a free pass for Mother's Day.
We did a little shopping the next day.
And the Mister took us to Earl's for a scrumptious lunch.
The Mister took it upon himself to order dessert.
I told Sista that she could nosh on the mint garnish and I would take care of the rest.
On Saturday, the Mister and I met my buddy, Annie and her Mister for the MFA exhibit of Art in Bloom and an unbelievably delectable lunch at Abe and Louie's. I am planning a blog post on the event. This is a sneak peek of Annie and one of the spectacular arrangements.
Before I go off to enroll in Overeater's Anonymous, here a few ideas for Mother's Day gifts.
Does your Mom need a new makeup mirror?
This one is a good one.
I just wish that I could find one that wouldn't show so many wrinkles laugh lines.
I got a new Clarisonic for Christmas and love it.
I didn't realize how bad my old was until I used the new one.
If your Mom's makeup brushes look as ragged as mine, she needs some new ones.
My #2 gave me this cosmetic bag for my purse last Christmas.
There are a couple of sizes - I got the medium which fits all of my miracles in a tube.
How about a new weekend bag for you your Mom?
Or travel cosmetic bag?
I'm thinking of investing in one of these.
My goal for this Summer is to purge and get organized.
I had the same goal last Summer, but I just didn't get around to it.
I thought shopping for more junk and reading trashy novels was more crucial to my mental health and well being.
After walking around the museum yesterday, I could have used one of these foot massagers.
And one of these massagers.
My hairdryer is an antique, so I am in the market for a new one. When did they get so darn expensive?
And are they worth the money?
I might give this one a whirl because it says it dries hair quickly which is my only requirement. Oh yeah, I also want to look like I just walked out of a salon.
How about a facial steamer?
I upgraded from sticking my head in the dishwasher at the end of its cycle to having my own personal steamer.
It also helps my sinuses.
I've mentioned these Alpha Beta Peel pads before.
They're pricey but worth it.
My girls have gotten into facial masks.
I think they are fun to try.
How about a bag full of different kinds for your dear ol' Mom?
I'm going to treat myself to one of these contraptions so that I don't ingest one more calorie.
Until next time...
