Layering My Way Through Spring

I hope that you had a productive week.  All is well here.  I had a delightful lunch with a dear friend on Wednesday.  A couple of old tennis buddies asked me to join them in a pickleball clinic next week, which should be fun.  I have never won any prizes for my hand-and-eye coordination, so we'll see how this turns out.

Reading Between the Lines

I hope this post finds you well.  The weather has been beautiful the past few days.  Friday night, we were supposed to meet some old friends for dinner.  We had to cancel because I woke up with a migraine that had me in its clutches all day long.

Saturday, I woke up fit as a fiddle.  We met the Adorables (AJ's parents) in Plano at one of my favorite places, Seasons 52.  The food was delicious, and as always, the company was delightful.

The Friday Files

I hope that you had a good week.  I have been flying solo for the past couple of weeks.  The Mister had a consulting gig in New Orleans.  While he was feasting on jambalaya and gumbo, I was nursing two pups with tummy troubles.

My Favorite Reader, Shannon

I am very excited to bring you today's post. Readers seem to enjoy this series, and I love hearing about what some of my favorite people are reading.

Today, my friend, Shannon, is in the hot seat, answering all my hard-hitting questions. Shannon is a bit younger than my usual victim appointee. I have been following her on Instagram for many years.

Shannon is a young woman of many talents. She makes gorgeous dresses, enjoys DIY projects, and obviously, loves to read.    Shannon also loves to entertain her friends and family.

The McFriday Files

Happy St. Paddy's Day!  I hope that you had a good week.  Yesterday, storms whipped through North Texas.  I met some old friends for a delicious Mexican lunch at one of my favorite spots, Gloria's.  The best part of returning to a town you lived in is renewing old friendships.

House Tours, Anyone?

Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was delightful.  One night, we met some friends for dinner.  The next day we enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of our favorite places, Hudson House.

They make the best chips and avocado dip in the whole world!  Btw... they don't call it guacamole.  I commented to our lovely server, Sonya, how much I loved the chips, and she sent me home with a doggy bag filled to the brim.

My hips thank her.

The Friday Files

I hope that you had a wonderful week.  Last night I was a guest of my friend, Cindy, at a fabulous event hosted by the Dallas chapter of Les Dames D'Escoffier honoring International Womens Day.  It is an organization of women leaders who create a supportive culture in our communities to achieve excellence in the food, fine beverage, and hospitality field.

Cindy is an active group member, comprised of local chefs, dietitian nutritionists, business owners, and other women connected with the food industry.

Prime Time

I hope that you had a good weekend.  Our weather was beautiful.  The Mister and I decided to take advantage of it.  We spent it walking around McKinney Square.  It is one of the reasons that we chose McKinney as our forever home.  It is chock-full of darling shops and restaurants.

The Friday Files

If you watched the news last night, you know North Texas was hit with a whopper of a storm.  Fortunately, we came away without damage, while many were not as lucky.
