I hope that you had a wonderful week. Last night I was a guest of my friend, Cindy, at a fabulous event hosted by the Dallas chapter of Les Dames D'Escoffier honoring International Womens Day. It is an organization of women leaders who create a supportive culture in our communities to achieve excellence in the food, fine beverage, and hospitality field.
Cindy is an active group member, comprised of local chefs, dietitian nutritionists, business owners, and other women connected with the food industry.
Do you want to know the coolest part? If you are a member of this prestigious organization, you are considered a Dame.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Judi Dench!
As I have mentioned in past posts, my friend Cindy is a well-respected dietitian nutritionist, and an author. She picked me up with her friend Dame Margie, and we made our way to Eataly through heavy traffic and rain storms. By the way, Dame Cindy can also put great driver on her resume.
Does this lady look familiar?
The food not only looked delicious but also put my sense of smell in overdrive.
Say cheeeeeeese!
It was so much fun watching Paula in action.
These were just a few of the highlights. There were so many stations of delicious food. My two Dames, Cindy and Margie, introduced me to their fellow darling Dames, who were warm and hospitable.
I highly recommend buying a ticket if the Dames host the event next year. I have only one recommendation; starve yourself for 24 hours so you won't miss one bite.

My answer: never enough.
My favorite carnivore and fast food fan sent me this. What is your favorite fast-food hamburger?
In my last post, I raved about the carrot hummus served at a local restaurant. I found a recipe that looks very close to the one we devoured.
I have not, but I would be willing to try one for the sake of research.
Are you headed to Lake Como this Summer?
Hope you don't run into my ex and his sadsack of a wife!
Do you wake up in the middle of the night and then have trouble falling back to sleep?
You can do one of two things.

the "boyfriend" shirt
I'm going to buy this, so everyone thinks I have a boyfriend.
The stores are showing a lot of these full-cut dresses.
They are perfect for all-you-can-eat buffets.
I love a longer tunic!
It makes me look at least 5' tall.
Tummy control!
FYI: you don't have to play tennis to wear cute skorts.
I picked up this little number.
