a day in boston

Good morning, dear friends.  Hope you have recovered from your holiday weekend.

I wrote this blog a couple of months ago and must have forgotten to post it.  It's not easy being a supermodel, trophy wife.

The Mister and I decided to do a little sightseeing in our new hometown.  Faneuil Hall was calling our name.

Great shopping!

I told this guy I was with the paparazzi and his face is going to be plastered all over Ireland's Enquirer. He either didn't speak English or lacked the Irish wit.

My lucky day!  All I lack is my equipment...

Maybe I could borrow some of this guy's stuff.

Or the drums!?!

This guy has got the crowd enraptured.

More of my healthy competition...

Just another hunk from Harvard.  Could it be Oliver Barrett IV all grown up?

Obviously she is threatened by me.

I wonder if I can remember how to play "500 Miles" on the guitar.

So much for the entertainment.  It's time for lunch at one of my favorite hot spots, Joe's.

Brad and Angelina?  Nope, but close.

After lunch, we strolled across the street to a fair.  This booth was my favorite.

Tried to talk the Mister into taking a Duck tour, but he said that he could only take so much excitement in one day.

The Mister was all smiles when he spotted this sign, though.

The Mister fulfilling his sugar quotient.

Last stop was where everyone knew our name.

Cheers!

  5. Visiting Boston has always been a dream of mine, and if all works out, we will be there in October. Yay!!! Ok, I may sound like an idiot, but does the Cheers place really exist?? I would LOVE to see it, if it really does. My step son is at Boston University for now, and I couldn't be happier because up until now, hubby just wouldn't agree to travel to Boston :) Give Chowdah a great big hug from Soph and me.

  9. Great photos! I got to Boston once for a conference and had a bit of a sightseeing tour in a bus on the way to dinner. However, I'd love to see the sights up a bit closer than through the window of a bus at night!

  18. Great tour of your new hometown! Boston is such a great walking city plus they celebrate Irish-ness which I support even if that one vendor was the anti-Leprechaun. And what a wonderful picture of you and the Mista!
