A movie about moi?
I must say I may have thought about it once or twice.
My first choice would be...
Charlize
But in reality it would probably be...
Rhea
2. Do you have any quirky or unusual hobbies or collections?
No, I don't, but my Mister would differ. He would say that my hobby would be inspecting every Homegoods within a 100 mile radius.
And my collections would be all the "junk" that I buy there, according to the Mister.
3. What has been your proudest moment blogging?
My proudest moments in blogging occur when I hear from a reader who tells me that they enjoy my blog.
4. What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
When we were newlyweds, the Mister and I had Sista and my BIL over for dinner. The Mister, our chef, decided to include blood sausage on the menu. For those people who don't know what blood sausage is and think that they are actually missing something, this is definition that I found on Wikepedia.
Blood sausage is a generic name for a type of sausage made by cooking blood or dried blood with a filler until it is thick enough to congeal when cooled.
YUM!!
Bet you wish you were a guest at that dinner party, huh?
Every time Sista turned her head, I quickly placed my blood sausage on her plate. Unfortunately, she caught on and would to the same to me. Pretty soon, we were having blood sausage giggle fits. The Mister failed to see the humor.
5. What item that you don't already own would you like to have (money is no object)?
I would like a second home in a WARM climate.
I'll take this one in Malibu.
I hear it's for sale.
6. In homage to Coach Daddy's monthly feature, describe yourself in six words.
Sexy, voluptuous, statuesque, regal, humble and hot.
7. What is your favorite holiday of the year?
Any holiday that both my girls are home.
8. What is the most unusual job you ever had?
When I was in high school my father got me a job in a packaging plant that packed Bic Bananas. That was my father's way of showing me the value of a good education.
I still have nightmares.
I wake up screaming "red, yellow, blue, orange...."
I also worked with my buddy, Dude, for the Judge of Probate's Office. We worked in a vault 6 feet under filing wills. Thousands of them. Eight hours a day.
It's lucky they had me to keep Dude in line.
Yup, I knew you would be jealous.
9. You wouldn't you be caught dead, where?
Back in Istanbul.
Note: I promise to go a whole week without mentioning Istanbul again.
10. What is the best piece of blogging advice that you have ever received?
Write in your own voice.
Thanks, Mo, for nominating me and your great questions.

Wow, I am thrilled...just finished report cards and was about to go to bed. No worries...Hubster says I don't need my beauty sleep because I am "beautiful enough" so I will be up answering your questions...Thanks I am thrilled to be included.
ReplyDeleteI understand that no one asked me and no one cares, but I would like to state for the record that if I had to eat one food all day long, it would be raspberries :)
ReplyDeleteI love raspberries too! I just read that they have the highest amount of fiber of all the berries. An added bonus! Have a wonderful weekend, Paige!
DeleteOh my dear, you did not disappoint!! And I love the questions you came up with! A few years ago we stayed in a B&B in Ireland with a group of friends. The first morning, the owner/chef prepared a complete Irish breakfast including blood sausage. A wise man, once he saw how well it was received the first morning, he never bothered with the blood sausage again.
ReplyDeleteAs I was scrolling down past the first picture of your new home I thought, "That looks like Yolanda's house!". Yes! I nailed it!!!!
Excellent job! Enjoy your weekend.
Blood sausage seems to be an essential part of a "full Irish" breakfast. They serve a dark piece and a light piece which has a lot of oatmeal. They both tasted pretty good but left a curious aftertaste which I decided not to question. the bangers are fabulous. But after eating a few dozen, I moved onto smoked salmon...oh my, was that good. Like your questions! AS
ReplyDeleteBlood sausage for breakfast... now that's a disturbing thought. I think I would move on to the smoked salmon too! Have a wonderful weekend, AS!
DeleteThanks Boxer Mom! Are you looking for some company this weekend because Chow is available! He's no trouble at all. heehee. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I might be able to go all day without eating anything thanks to the blood sausage description! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you for my morning chuckle while I'm having my coffee! Big fans of Home Goods here and wish we could go with you…now that would be fun shopping! Happy weekend ~
ReplyDeleteThis was hilarious. And tell Chowdah he can come stay at my house and run free in the fields. :-)))))
ReplyDeleteThanks for nominating me, but even though I love you to pieces. I gave up doing these a few years ago. I loved reading about you, though, especially the humble part :)

Oh, my blood sausage. Not so sure about that! And, I agree when someone says they enjoy my blog that's "icing on the cake" for me. Our daughter went to Instabul twice when she was in college, all by herself to see her fella. I have a beautiful rug in my dining room as a result of those trips. :0)))
ReplyDeleteBTW, I do watch Mr. Selfridge and love it and I also watch Call the Midwife and they both give Downton Abbey a run for it's money. Also, do you know you have your comments set to "no reply blogger." You may want it that way but it makes it hard for folk to response to a comment you make on their blog. Thus, that's why I added this to my comments since I couldn't do it through email.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ellen... he is checking into Doggie Daycare today. Between you and me, I think he needs Xanax more than daycare. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get to know you better. And I am here to tell you that the next decade (of which I am in the very beginning) is not so different than the one you will be leaving....that is good news! And I loved your answer about your favorite holiday...I only have one child, a daughter, and I so agree that whenever she is around it is a great holiday. Thanks for sharing.
