Pumpkins, Mums & Gourds, Oh My!

Last week I stopped into my favorite nursery in Texas, Calloways.  I got there nice and early and it looked like I was the first customer of the day because the store was chocked full of pumpkins and mums.  I had my camera in the car so I ran out and got it so I could share gorgeous autumn colors with you.

Lots of beautiful pumpkins and "yard art" as the Mister calls it.  He is not a big fan of festive garden art.  Every time I put a "bunny" or "frog" in the garden it disappears.  He keeps telling me the dog ate
them.  I keep telling him Gypsy doesn't like the taste of concrete.

Gourds galore!  I bought about 20 of these gorgeous galores of nature for my centerpiece.  They usually last the whole season.

Cute name.

Who knew there were so many kinds of pumpkins?

I took these squash pictures for #2.  Her favorite veggie in the whole world!  She is coming home this week and I stocked up.

Love the name of these! Consuming these can lead to a bright financial future!  Quit your job Mister... I bought the Mother lode!

Ceramic bird baths and bases

Lots of pottery from Mexico.

Love the brilliant colors of the zinnias and cyclamen!

Can never resist a bike with a basket full of greenery.

As we say in the great state of Texas...
Happy Fall Y'all!

  1. Hi Katie! Thank you so much for introducing yourself. It is so nice to meet you! I went to Ursuline and graduated 2003. My sister was 2005 and my cousin was 2007. It is great to meet more Ursuline families! It is one of my most cherished parts of my upbringing. I also love Calloway's! Thank you so much for the inspiration as I very much need to get my home ready for fall. And eat some millionaire squash!
