Pin Whim of the Week

Hello, dear friends.  I am reporting in from Snowbound Central.  Right now, the Mayor of Boston is reporting that this is the 9th snowiest winter on record.  Wow, how lucky can I get!

Wish me luck, Mom!

Nobody loves snow more than our Chowdah!

It takes me at least 20 minutes to get him dried off  every time he comes in.  Doesn't seem to bother him though!

It's not easy being me.

This week, I decided to have a theme to my pins.  Being that I have an affinity for celebrities, I chose to pin rooms in celebrity homes.

Oprah

This is an old pic from my buddy, Oprah's home in Hawaii.  I'm sure that she has either sold the home or renovated the room.  I can't help it, I love checks and chintz.

Rob Lowe

Love this room, even though he is my ex-boyfriend.

Patricia Heaton

Love the warmth of this room.

Tory

In my next life, I want to come back as Tory.  I'll make better choices in love, though.

Aerin Lauder

I love everything about this room.

Barbra Streisand

She can fit lots of people who need people in this room!

Ralph Lauren

If I could sit in this cozy den, I wouldn't care how much it snowed out!

Adam Levine

Another ex-boyfriend showing off.

Guiliana and Bill Rancic

Love it.

Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopolous

I can see George going over his GMA notes in here.

Drew Barrymore

Love the dark paneling.

Alicia Keys

My Mother always told me if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Stay Warm!

I should fix her up with Chow!

  1. Love the photo of Chowdah--and he's on your wood floor! What can I say about your weather? Our newscasters tell us that Boston has had record snowfalls and has no more places to put it. Melting machines are working overtime. I feel for you. I agree that Ralph's study is the place to ride it out. Take care.

  2. Hi Katie, that Chow he should have his own monogramed hair dryer, he sure needs it. I love the rooms, Rob Lowe and George and Ali's are my favorite. Alicia can keep her bike not impressed. Stay dry and warm.

  3. I can't believe that you and I have the same friends and have even dated the same guys! How have we never met to compare notes? Shocking!
I hope you are surviving the craziness. We got significantly less here in Rhode Island.

  4. Barbara Streisand room is my fav. Want to recover my sofa to look like hers. Got your ex boyfriend Robs latest book...starting after I finish Girl on the Train (if I can get off the da@n computer!)

  5. Always fun to peek inside celebrities' homes! You curated an interesting group of rooms. I can see myself relaxing with a glass of wine and watching Bravo in the Rancic's family room.

  6. You had me at the checks and chintz! I am binging West Wing right now so I guess Rob Lowe is my current boyfriend! Good luck in all the snow up there - I am headed up to Portland the end of the month for a visit with my son and am hoping that I can get in and out of there without another storm!

  7. Always been a fan of Rob Loews beautiful homes...he has great taste and of course Aerin's. I was surprised at Adam's house (yes we are on a first name basis) but it is beautiful. Fun to see their dwellings! The dogs look like they are having a blast, they are so cute, love their expressions....enjoy, stay warm and hope this "next round" will detour Boston!

  10. Especially like Patricia Heaton, Rob Lowe and Tory's rooms.
Your blog was up on the computer when one of my boys went to do his homework. He thought Chowdah and Chili were very cute. Liked their names too.
Read that Ma. was declared a state of emergency. Hope you are safe and warm.

  11. I have to say that Rob Lowe's is my favorite. Adam Levin's house does not look at all like I would expect of him...you know, because I know him and his super model wife so well.
Love you new Celebrity Homes Pinterest board! See you soon!

  12. I like the theme here! Gorgeous chandeliers in Adam Levine's home and of Aerin's home is stunning. Chowdah has los to think about with all that snow:) On the occasion that we might get a little snow, Layla is off and running in it. I think she likes the smells?? Stay warm Katie! It looks so cold :\

  14. Wow...I love all of these (except the last one!) and I LOVE the picture of Chowdah!

I can't believe it is ONLY the "9th snowiest" winter - after this weekend, that may change. Every time I hear about Boston getting more snow, I always think of you first (before my own son who is in Providence and is getting it almost as bad as you...shows the power of blogging friendships!). Hugs to you my dear...soon it will be Spring!

  15. I love, love, love your blog. You are hilarious, and, if you lived here in the DC burbs where I live, I just know we'd be best buds and would get into all kinds of fun trouble. Marilyn in Mt. Vernon, VA

  16. Funny, how some rooms and brands conjure up memories of x-boy friends and things that unleash our inner celebrity.
I bought the Aerin Ikat jasime lotion which I wish came in a tub size so that I could sit in it! I find that after all this snow, my skin needs daily moisturizing.
    Stay warm-
    pve
