I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your friend Dude! Best friends, old friends are the best! I've been BFs with one of my BFs since 7th grade. She and her husband have come to visit every fall for the last few years and the best part is they bring their own home and park it in my driveway! Can it get any easier then that!
You're both lucky to have each other!
Rebecca
PS.
ReplyDeleteyou can come shopping with me anytime, I think we'd have a blast!

I wore a tablecloth too - light blue flowered with lace. And, I'm sure my hair had that sun in glow too lol. Great pictures :-)
ReplyDeleteKatie, it is so wonderful that you still have your bestest friend. I love her just hearing about her, and yes I'll try not to feel sorry for her for being such a dog. :)

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing a good as a great best friend. Happy Birthday to Dude! She's lucky to have a friend like you!
ReplyDeleteHi, What an adorable post.... Your friend must be VERY special. Isn't it great to have 'old' friends in our lives? I just went to the funeral of one of my very best friends. We were both born in the summer of 1942 ---and have been friends since Kindergarten... She suffered from MS---and even though she fought it for many years, it finally won the battle. BUT--she was the most positive person I ever knew. We even sang "Zip A Dee Doo Dah" at her funeral --if you can believe it... She was amazing!!!!! Hope you 'keep' and enjoy your friend for many many more years...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE! sandie
