Welcome back to our Christmas cruise or otherwise known as our phone-free family vacation!
Every morning, #2 began her day with a zumba class on the pool deck. This couple pictured, Shukri and his beautiful wife were great instructors and absolutely darling. On the first day, they had about 40 participants and by the last day there were close to 100!
There's my girl! The instructors even called #2 up on the stage for a couple of the numbers!
My girls soaking up the rays on one of the days at sea.
Christmas Day was spent at sea. It's lucky that Santa learned how to water ski so he could leave the girls' stockings in our room.
The stockings were stuffed with make up and...
even a bag of coal and...
matching rings!
The following day we spent in Saint Maarten.
Had a most delicious lunch at a restaurant on the beach that we had enjoyed on previous visits.
3 days, 14 hours, 22 minutes til my little fingers can text again...
Their favorite sport... shopping!
I ran into George at my favorite jewelry store. The Mister was so jealous!
One evening we went to a restaurant called Q.
Each guest is given an iPad to order their dinner.
The longer he talked, the more confusing it got.
Say what?
Who cares about dinner. Can I get facebook on this darn thing?
Who cares? My blackberry hasn't rung in 5 days... just order.
Loved the wine glasses in the background.
Appetizers and condiments delivery.
And guess what we used to order dessert?
Dipped strawberries growing out of a lawn if you couldn't figure out the rubik's cube of dessert.
The food was great. The concept needs some work. Or then again, maybe less work.
We shared lots of laughs that night trying to figure out the ordering process.
Two ships passing in the night. I think dusk is the prettiest time aboard ship.
#1 catching the last of the rays...
And now as I reminisce about what I miss the most about our cruise...
I miss my favorite seat watching the sunset.
But most of all...
I miss the times we laughed the hardest
during our phone-free family time.
It will stay in my heart forever.

Happy Friday, y'all!
Awwhhhh what a perfect ending! Your family is beautiful and looks like you had an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteThat whole ordering process, OMG is CRAAAAZZZYYYY!! That is nuts...I am envisioning my parents, they would have walked out lol. But I guess its one more fun memory to add to your memory book.
Thanks for sharing......
Great to see you all having a good time. Your daughters are gorgeous (and healthy!) and you and the Mr. aren't so bad either.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful family! I love the no cell phone rule. I myself try to unplug once a week and I am instantly hit with a wave of anxiety before I surge into full relaxation. Cruises are wonderful, especially because it keeps the family together, but offers enough space and flexibility to fend for yourself. I laughed at the iPad dinner meal....seemed SUPER complicated!!!!! Mister is really rocking the new signature bow tie look!
ReplyDeleteLove that rule! I am going to try that out sometime. It's so hard to leave the devices behind.
