If you haven't heard enough about our beloved #1 turning 21 here and here, this is a final post to tie up her celebration. I promise. We celebrated her actual birthday, January "tird", as she used to say when she was little, at home having her favorite chef and financier, preparing her birthday meal. Some of her friends were still on Christmas break out-of-state so she had her dear friends that live locally to enjoy "the greatest day of the year" according to you-know-who.
I want to apologize for the photography ahead of time. I tried something "tricky" with my camera and obviously it didn't work. Just pretend you had 2 glasses of champagne before reading this.
Our guest of honor doing a tasting before her guests arrive.
The Mister adding the most important ingredient to the recipe.
#2 was so proud and excited to give her gift to big sis.
With the exception of another mirror, a karaoke machine is the best gift she could possibly get!
The Mister and his veggies.
I was even asked to make my famous "Martha" dip (the only one I know how to make).
#1 sure can pick cute friends... this is Julia and Jonathon.
The Mister and his sous chef, Miss Gypsy preparing the first course.
Our little Miss 21 requested fish for dinner because 2 days earlier, she had declared herself a pescetarian. That lasted about a week.
She loved all her presents.
Baby Sista made her a strawberry cake... her favorite.
Hope all your wishes come true, baby girl!!
A week later when #1's friends were back in town, we hosted a lunch for her at her favorite restaurant, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.
#1 made these cute party favors for her guests.
Julia and Jonathon asking themselves how long this birthday extravaganza will go on.
We celebrated in the library, same place that we celebrated #1's high school graduation.
Coco and Ashley
#1 one just loved her gifts.

Can you believe there is another guy walking around as cute as Jonathon? He has a twin in Waco.
Such pretty girls.
There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that this group doesn't have one heck of a great time in college!
Happy birthday, #1! You've come a long way, baby!
XXXOOOO
Happy Thursday, Y'all!
There's no such thing as too much celebrating for a milestone birthday! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the idea of a nice dinner at home for a birthday - and of course a trip to the Mansion. We went there for dessert and dancing for my mom's birthday this year. The creme brulee is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter Katie! Looks like you all had a wonderful celebration. Time really does fly buy doesn't it??!
ReplyDeleteWHAT FUN. She is just so pretty. What a great birthday she had!
ReplyDeleteYou have such gorgeous daughters. #1 was precious as a baby, what a stunner then and now! They are both beautiful, I am jealous of their eyes, knock outs they are. I also love your home and it looked like fun was had by all. You are a great mommy!
