Wednesday Medley

Hello, dear friends.  Happy Halloween!  It looks like it's going to be a picture-perfect evening for the trick-or-treaters tonight here in Massachusetts.

Today I am linking up with my friend, Terri, who writes the questions for Wednesday Medley.

1. You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final person left, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?

I would like to be the smart, beautiful one who speaks quietly and interrogates all the suspects with a crisp, British accent.

By the way, all of the tall, dark, and handsome possible murderers are madly in love with me her.

It may take me a while to answer the next question.

I want to sit here and wallow in my fantasy.

2. While watching scary movies, are you the person who yells at the characters, the person with their eyes covered the whole time or the person who falls asleep?

Art Fire

I am usually the person that likes to warn the characters to watch out.

Fun fact: they never listen.

3. If you were dared to spend the night in a “haunted house,” would you do it?

cybersalt

I would rather stick my head in an elephant's mouth than stay overnight in a haunted house.

4. Favorite horror monster or villain?

The first thing that pops to mind is the winner of the Sister of the Year award, otherwise known as Blanche in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

I don't know what is scarier... the actual movie or the fact that Bette Davis designed her own makeup.

5. Favorite horror or Halloween-themed song?

Thriller!
Do you know what is even more horror-able?

Your Special Unique Wedding

Flashbacks of myself attempting doing the thriller dance at weddings.

6. Tell us something random about your week.

On Friday, I am off to the first Christmas Fest of 2018.  I haven't been to this one for a couple of years, and I am looking forward to it.

Happy Halloween!

Until next time...

  1. Have fun at the Christmas fest! Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is scary and creepy. Reminds me of the Tuesday night tv show Thriller, with Boris Karloff (or was it Vincent Price?). Very scary and we loved it!

  6. The head in an elephant's mouth totally made me laugh.

  8. I often wish I could read your post before answering my own. You have the most comical take on them where I tend to take the more serious approach. Never tire of reading your blog. We are expecting storms here so Trick or Treat has been moved to Thursday. Since it's my birthday, I'm thinking of not turning on the outside light and enjoy my TV dinner without interruption. Besides the candy can be my desert.

  13. I want to be the smart crime solver too, but I think I would like to try staying in a haunted house! I know nothing would happen!
I am getting excited for Christmas too - how fun to be off to a Christmas Fest already!
Our weather turned a little cold just for tonight - drop of 20 degrees - yuck!

  16. Hi Katie! I'm better at reading scary books than watching scary movies. I'm usually hiding behind my hair or a pillow, or better yet, not even in the room!-Jenn

  17. Glad it is pretty there! It is raining here for Halloween night. I delivered goodie bags to all the littles in my neighborhood. Now have the lights turned off for what I hope is a quiet evening. Sadie doesn't much like Halloween night. Just heard a dozen older kids out in the street trick or treating. Pouring rain, but hey, they are having fun.

  19. I know it's only Halloween but I am so ready for Christmas! I've been listening to Christmas music, watching movies... sigh. Have a great time at Christmas Fest!

  20. Loved your responses! I remember watching What Ever Happened to Baby Jane repeatedly, by far one the scariest movies I’d ever seen. I do enjoy spooky movies and am currently watching Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. I must admit that movies like Baby Jane are much more frightening because they show the very hreL horror within the human psyche whereas supernatural movies I can rationalize and dismiss as ‘pretend’.

  21. I love scary books, movies and rides! You're never too old for a good roller coaster or horror movie - and my husband feels the same way.

  22. I hate scary things, books, movies, tv. I have seen Whatever Happened to Baby JAne, you are right the make-up is creepy.

Have fun at the Christmas fest!

  23. I am so glad to be past Halloween, but you brought up some really good ones in this. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane - Bette Davis scared the bejeebers out of me with that one (and that trailer was epic! so was her solo of "I've written a letter to daddy").
Have a great outing on Friday....I cannot lie, Christmas is my favorite holiday! I also cannot lie about doing the Thriller dance at my daughter's Oct 26 wedding in 2013. :D
