October 2.0 / TBB Asks

Hello, dear friends.  How was your weekend?  Ours was busy.  We spent Saturday working on Fall window boxes and pots.  I'd show you a photo, but the mums never look good until they bloom.

I spent Sunday with my good buddies touring some gorgeous homes in Hingham.  I took lots of pics to share with you later in the week.

This is just one of the beauties that we toured.
Stay tuned for more gorgeous homes.

Chili turned the corner over the weekend and is on her way to becoming her old self.

Doesn't she look like Little Bo Beep wearing Uggs?
As you can imagine, her cone of shame is not her favorite fashion accessory.

I am linking up with The Blended Blog this morning.

Favorite Fall Color?

I love an unexpected pop of orange all year round.
This is a photo from my Sista's House Tour in Connecticut.

Dooney & Bourke

I also love to carry a purse with a punch of color for two reasons.

It's easier to locate, and it distracts the eye from my hip area.

Apple Cider Cold or Hot?

Hot!
And I wouldn't mind if it is spiced up a bit, either.
The recipe can be found here.

Caramel Apple -Yes or No?

I love caramel apples, but my veneers are not as thrilled about them.
Isn't this the cutest Caramel Apple Bar?
You can read more about it here.

Pumpkin Donut or Apple Cider Donut?

Pumpkin, please.
I'll just take the holes because I'm watching my girlish figure.
The recipe can be found here.

Long or short cardigan?

Banana Republic

Long!
I ordered this one to cover my multitude of sins.

Favorite Football or Fall Party Food?

Bacon Crack Bites

Pumpkin Pecan Baked Brie

Either one of these appetizers would make my boat float.

White or OrangePumpkins?

So far white on the inside and plenty of orange in the window boxes and pots.

Hayride or Bonfire?

Bonfire, because there are usually s'mores involved.

Favorite Fall Baked Good?

To me, there is nothing as delicious as an old fashion pumpkin roll.  As a matter of fact, I could go for a piece with my coffee this morning.

  2. Glad your pup is on the road to recovery. Oh those Bacon Cracks are the DEVIL....I could eat a whole plate of them. The hostess at our last book club meeting served them and I had to tell myself to just walk a way!!

  8. There is nothing quite like a touch of orange. I wear it much better than I decorate with it, therefore I cannot wait to do my fall decorating so I can celebrate my favorite colors for a few weeks out of the year. Enjoyed this post so much.

  9. I am so glad I found your blog as you are now my American home style icon :) I liked everything you featured - including the lovely Dooney and Burke Bag (we don't have that brand here but I wish we did), and the entire Banana Republic outfit. The splash of orange and deep blue is a fantastic fall accent. Joanne x

  16. Those bacon wrapped crackers look good! When I first glanced at the brie with knife above it, it looked as though it was a bread roll around an umbrella stand on a table, lol. I need to get busy with outdoor decor. Your photos from last year are enviable!

  21. Oh...that sweet little Chili looks so pitiful but so glad to hear well on the road to recovery. I am drooling over here gazing upon all of these wonderful fall delights! SO many amazing things to stuff in our mouths in the fall...have you ever tried pumpkin oatmeal? I tried a bowl this morning with a few crumbles of glazed pecans...really yummy! Blessings!
