I love an unexpected pop of orange all year round.
This is a photo from my Sista's House Tour in Connecticut.
Dooney & Bourke
I also love to carry a purse with a punch of color for two reasons.
It's easier to locate, and it distracts the eye from my hip area.
Hot!
And I wouldn't mind if it is spiced up a bit, either.
I love caramel apples, but my veneers are not as thrilled about them.
Isn't this the cutest Caramel Apple Bar?
Long!
I ordered this one to cover my multitude of sins.
Favorite Football or Fall Party Food?
Bacon Crack Bites
Pumpkin Pecan Baked Brie
Either one of these appetizers would make my boat float.
White or OrangePumpkins?
So far white on the inside and plenty of orange in the window boxes and pots.
Hayride or Bonfire?
Bonfire, because there are usually s'mores involved.
Favorite Fall Baked Good?
To me, there is nothing as delicious as an old fashion pumpkin roll. As a matter of fact, I could go for a piece with my coffee this morning.

ReplyDeleteGlad your pup is on the road to recovery. Oh those Bacon Cracks are the DEVIL....I could eat a whole plate of them. The hostess at our last book club meeting served them and I had to tell myself to just walk a way!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post...makes me hungry. I adore that room with the over the door book cases. Cute picture of you and your pretty friends.
ReplyDeleteSo glad, Chili is on the mend. I just love a pop of orange as well. I have looked at that those long cardigans for awhile, but have yet to buy one. I need to do that this fall as they are so cute.
ReplyDeleteThe Bacon Cracks look delish!! I could use a cup of hot cider right now, only 50' here!! Happy October!
ReplyDeleteYes yes and yes! Bacon crack bites and a little wrapped Brie oh yeah. So glad Sweet Chili is doing better
ReplyDeleteGlad Chili is on the mend! She sure is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like a touch of orange. I wear it much better than I decorate with it, therefore I cannot wait to do my fall decorating so I can celebrate my favorite colors for a few weeks out of the year. Enjoyed this post so much.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog as you are now my American home style icon :) I liked everything you featured - including the lovely Dooney and Burke Bag (we don't have that brand here but I wish we did), and the entire Banana Republic outfit. The splash of orange and deep blue is a fantastic fall accent. Joanne x
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see Chili is feeling better. As for orange, I have found in my old age it is one of my favorite colors! I love pumpkin everything, cakes, pies, cookies, muffins and whatever else there is. Have a great week KAtie!
ReplyDeleteI love how you are so on top of it you're able to provide a photo and link to your favorite recipes. It makes reading your blog posts a yummy delight!
ReplyDeleteHappy October! I'm just home and trying to catch up. What happened to Chili?
ReplyDeleteLovely post and I had forgotten about those bacon wrapped crackers. Oh, I see them in my very near future. Happy week!
ReplyDeleteI am just not 'into' pumpkin flavored stuff but love the colors and especially that purse. Glad puppy is feeling better and I look forward to seeing those homes later this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Chili is on the mend! Love reading your blog and love your beautiful home.

Those bacon wrapped crackers look good! When I first glanced at the brie with knife above it, it looked as though it was a bread roll around an umbrella stand on a table, lol. I need to get busy with outdoor decor. Your photos from last year are enviable!
ReplyDeleteOh my word -- now I'm starving for pumpkin donut holes and all the other goodies and I want to go shopping!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear Chili is doing better!
Glad Chili is on the mend. I love little peeks of your home. Those window boxes are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI too am a huge bonfire - and smores - fan!!!! I love your decorating style...those pictures from last year are amazing!!! So lovely!!!! Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteI love the bacon crack bites soooo good. And long cardigans are everything right now. I have a few but could use a few more. We have a lot of similar answers.
ReplyDeleteOh...that sweet little Chili looks so pitiful but so glad to hear well on the road to recovery. I am drooling over here gazing upon all of these wonderful fall delights! SO many amazing things to stuff in our mouths in the fall...have you ever tried pumpkin oatmeal? I tried a bowl this morning with a few crumbles of glazed pecans...really yummy! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always interesting and colorful and sometimes with
ReplyDeletetasty treats tossed in. Thank you! Phyllis
I love that BR cardigan. I have been trying to resist purchasing it. It does hide a multitude of sins and is extremely slimming! Yippee!

ReplyDeleteHello across the big pond to you and especially sweet Chilli pup bless her heart. I have been thinking of her and so glad she is on the mend.
I love all your fall suggestions and flowers. It makes me look forward to it a little more! My favourite food at this time of the year is just my own harvest. Im so thankful for this in my small garden of an abundance apples, pears and some delicious grapes. I am sharing with my neighbours, may try apple cider too!
A very Happy Fall to you, and your lovely family
