Hello, dear friends. My little leprechaun got lots of treats for posing for this pic. Chili and Chowdah received their darling hats from their Aunt Mary.
I hope that you had a good week. Any week where the power stays on is a great one around here.
Here are some items that are on my radar this week.

This week's house tour comes from Rowayton, Connecticut. To continue to see more of this gorgeous home click here.
Big news...
Are you a fan of wallpaper?
Plenty of gorgeous rooms showcasing floral wallpaper can be found here.
Are you thinking about hosting an Easter Brunch?
You can find plenty of inspiration here.
Do you watch the cooking channels on Youtube?
In my last post, I moaned about our weather. A very sweet reader, Martha suggested that I make an Atlantic Beach Pie. I looked it up because I had not heard of it before. I think Martha is right. Life would be a lot sweeter with a piece of this pie on my plate.
Now I've got to talk the Mister into making it for me.
This book was just released. I ordered a copy for a foodie friend of mine as a hostess gift.
The Mister and I have an appointment at the end of the week for our Global Entry. This article tells us how to breeze through customs with a mobile passport app. that may be even quicker than Global Entry.

Now that I got you through customs, here is a suggestion as to where you should go next.
Rumor has it that warm weather is coming sometime in the future. In preparation, I have been working with weights to get my flabby arms in shape. If you want to look as fabulous as me, here is what I've been doing.
Sorry I look fat in these pictures.

I can't do a post the day before St. Paddy's Day without talking about luck. Do you consider yourself a lucky person? Here's an interesting article citing scientific research on the phenomenon of luck.

Ok, maybe you're not the luckiest person in the world.
I have a friend who loves to entertain and always hosts a large brunch on Easter. Her birthday just happens to be around Easter, so it has been a tradition of mine to get her something with an Easter theme. These are the 4 finalists.
I may have to order one of these for myself.
Hopefully, the macaroons come with it.
Until next time...
Gotta go back and click on a few links, however wanted to mention that it has always amazed me that Iris Apfel has never fallen over with all the accoutrements she wears!! Happy St Patty's Day!
ReplyDeleteThat third home with the view of the harbor? is where I wanna be!! And I'll take a piece of that poor. I might make that. Looks delicious! If I hadn't just low-lighted my hair and if I lost about 20 pounds I could probably impersonate the new old Barbie!! Except my outfit would probably be from Goodwill. Lol
ReplyDeleteHugs to those two Irish fur kids!
That Atlantic Beach pie sure would make my life sweet! Just made an Old Fashioned Cream pie this morn! Aww little leprechaun, what a sweet and festive Aunt Mary! Have the best weekend!
ReplyDeleteIf I was that friend of yours, I'd be hoping for the Bunny With Macaroons present! love it.
ReplyDeleteSwoon...oh Katie those were beautiful!Maybe I need to redecorate...or move?
ReplyDeleteYour puppy looks absolutely darling...and full of treats.
As for luck..I am probably one of the luckiest people around. For that reason I refuse to buy lottery tkts (and ruin my life) I have won trips to Europe,Hawaii,Bahamas, and Las Vegas not to mention a stationary bike, a Meyer Lemon tree and even a free mamo. These were not things I really tried to win, just random drawings, rafels, etc. Have a fun weekend, don't drink any green beer...and may the luck of the Irish be with you!
Katie, what a sweet puppy face! Let me know how the arm exercises work for you! I would love to have the bunny stand with macarons from Laduree! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
ReplyDeleteOh those homes are so gorgeous! And that adorable Chowdah!! Happy St Patricks Day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Atlantic Beach Pie is a Key Lime Pie made with lemon juice instead of lime juice (and without the zest which is clutch IMO). I think the Ritz-crackers-and-potato-chip crust (suggested in the comments) sounds better than the Saltine crust too. A slice would surely snap you out of the March winter blues.
ReplyDeleteThose Barbies!
ReplyDeleteMr. P. wants to do whatever to speed through global entry, but I'm dragging my heels, so he may have to leave me in dirt, behind. I feel like 'they' already know everything about me they need to, and NOTHING seems to speed air travel anymore. Maybe if they can guarantee time travel I'll do it.
Your pooches are adorable in their St. Pat's hats! Lots of eye candy today Katie, I'm off to check them out!

Love this interesting packed fill post today. I'll be clicking on links awhile this morning. First, the darling pup this morning, I need a kiss from him. I always enjoy home tours and certainly how to save on trips! Very interesting about mobile passports. Definitely get the rabbit, so cute. Now I'm off to check out links. Happy St. Patrick's Day Katie...........
ReplyDeleteI am catching up on posts on Saturday. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and yours! The pups look very Irish! Thanks always for the interesting links and for the giggles!

I adore the bunny dish with the macarons! And all the fun here, Katie. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who puts a green bow tie on her animal at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteGlobal Entry is amazing but I am definitely going to have to check out that Mobile Passport app! I am so, so sorry that you are getting another nor'easter! Just not fair!!! Fingers crossed that you don't lose power but, knowing you, the survival supplies are assembled. And by survival supplies I, of course mean plenty of Chardonnay on ice. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteONE MORE APP!!!!!!!!!!!NO NOT DOING IT!
ReplyDeleteLove the BOYS and their HATS!
I'm AFRAID to look at what is in the ATLANTIC PIE!!!!!!!!
I'm certain the CHEF of the CASA will ADORE YOUR ARMS however they TURN OUT!!!!!!
