She told me that I have to give her at least a week.
We'll see.
This was his reaction.
It's hard to keep up with a whippersnapper like me.
Until next time...
Meanwhile... back at the ranch.

I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to #2 and to mom and dad, too. What an accomplishment! It looks like a terrific weekend full of great times. Miss Daisy needs to take a few vitamins to keep up with you. Hope you two are headed to Texas soon. We'll plan a double date with the our Traveling Totes.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great accomplishment for daughter and parents...I had a wonderful time in Atlanta the two times I visited; once in January, it was 85 degrees and once in July, it felt like it was 120 degrees..still had fun. It doesn't matter the temperature because you will be visiting a loved one. Take Care.
ReplyDeleteYes, my hubby had a smile like that as well when ours graduated from college. It meant a huge raise for us. :o)) Hubby's sister and husband live in Atlanta and we enjoy going and doing all the fun things with them. Congrats to your daughter!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your daughter and to you and hubby too. :)
ReplyDeleteBravo on a great accomplishment in life for daughter #2. I get a lump in my throat thinking of how all four of mine 'did their time' and went on to pursue careers of their choice (which isn't always easy in this economy). Looks like you all had a great weekend. The shopping made me jealous but smile!! You and your daughter are twins and both lovely. And you each have handsome guys!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, Katie!

ReplyDeleteCongrats to your beautiful daughter! Miss Daisy sure looks pooped but her mom looks as fresh as a daisy.
ReplyDeleteA big congrats to #2 and both of you - what a relief, right?! Meanwhile, that squished hosta back at the ranch may or may not survive the lounging lizard. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations all around! I hope your #2 loves Atlanta. New chapters seem a little bittersweet to me since something has to change or end to start anew. But that is life. Glad to see your Mother's Day was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to #2! What a happy and proud weekend for you all! I'm sure you and Miss Daisy will love visiting Atlanta!

ReplyDeleteHowever, there's another question I really want answered, Sis, which was raised in a previous comment.
"How long lasting Best sports products ?"Looking forward to your reply.
Congratulations to your beautiful daughter, Katie. I hope she loves Atlanta. Both my daughters are there and they complain constantly about the weather. I on the other hand love the milder winters they have. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI well understand that look of euphoria when the offspring are off the payroll! You and your daughter look so much alike. This is such an exciting time in her life when everything is laid out in front of her. Your pride in her will be doubled many times over in the coming years. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Katie! Looks like a perfect Mother's Day weekend! Psst...tell the Mister to wipe the smile off his face, the kids are never off the payroll!! He's got weddings and grandchildren to fund!
