Preppy Empty Nester

I'm Katie. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my middle-aged years while entangled in the never-ending process of renovating an antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, decorating, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, and my two untrainable, rambunctious pups, Chowdah and Chili.

Hello, I'm Katie

I'm Katie. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020. We relocated to Dallas and have been spending our time searching for our Forever Home. I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, decorating, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my two untrainable, rambunctious pups, Chowdah and Chili. What a fun shop! Good grief, and lunch on the water. What could be better (except maybe to be married to a man who feeds you delicious food! Don't tell him I said that or it might go to his head, but that FOOD!) lol xo
ReplyDeleteI'm chuckling because I'm thinking you had to have your mr. write that's menu out for you to include here!! Man oh man...I'd love to pick his brain about cooking techniques!

ReplyDeleteI'm gathering your guy can make more than grilled cheese. Incredible dinner menu! My invite must have gotten lost in the mail! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love harbor towns and outdoor dining. You had it both ways on your little trip. And this shop, I'd be swooning. I had to laugh about the blue and white tote you liked. I have a few purses that large. Sometimes I can cram so much in them it hurts to put the straps over my shoulder!!!
Hope you are having a lovely holiday weekend, Katie!
