A huge congratulations to all the Cub fans. I loved watching the celebrations of all the loyal fans.
Today is the first day of a series that I am starting that will run through the holidays. I am combining my two favorite things - online shopping and blogging. Every couple of weeks I will post ideas for hostess gifts. Party season is coming upon us. And if you think it is too soon to think about shopping for gifts do what I do - shop for yourself.
How cute is this cake stand?
My #1 gave me linen cocktail napkins for Christmas and I love them.
Pottery Barn
Denver Plaid throw
Who couldn't use a pretty throw like this one?
Anthropologie
For your favorite baker... this darling pie plate.
Anthropologie
More cute plates.

These measuring cups are so cute you can keep them out on the counter.

Williams Sonoma
This Olive Wood Salt Keeper and a jar of gourmet salt would make a spicy gift.
Williams Sonoma
About 10 years ago, I received the hand soap/hand lotion duo from Williams-Sonoma. I loved to have them right next to the kitchen sink. I have been buying refills ever since. I also adore the candles - great scents and they last forever on my warmer.
Etsy
The towels are almost too pretty to use on dishes.

This custom map wine stopper would make a great gift for your neighbor who is moving away.

Any of these are great gifts if you have the time to monogram. I love to give pitchers as gifts. I usually present them with flowers in them. Then I don't have to wrap it!!
Amazon
I also think hand cream makes a good gift.
I bought these for myself so that I can keep the Mister on his toes!
Have a great weekend!
Until next time...
I might have to amble over to Williams Sonoma for some of that grapefruit scented soap as a hostess gift from Lizzie to me! (Lizzie is very generous for a cat.) Some great ideas. My hostess gift giving starts Saturday when our Cork Poppers get together to drink copious amounts of wine and stuff ourselves! Then let the merriment begin.
ReplyDeleteA great idea for posts, Katie! Happy weekend!
Love your holiday gift ideas! These are great as I can never think of what to get someone. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI really like that plaid throw. I would drape it over a leather chair because sometimes leather can feel cold. Very nice gift ideas! Have a beautiful weekend! -Jenn

ReplyDeleteLove all your hostess ideas. I would like a pair of the Amazon socks that say "If you can read this, bring me a cup of tea and a big cookie."
ReplyDeleteHave an enjoyable weekend.
All so darn cute but the socks and cocktail napkins are especially great! Thank you for the suggestions, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese are all such fabulous ideas! I am definitely ordering the pitcher for a few gifts and am keeping some of these in mind for wedding gifts too! You are a master shopper Katie- I love it and appreciate the great finds!! Xo, Jenny
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these ideas, Katie. I'm particularly glad you showed the olive wood salt keeper because I spotted one in Home Goods earlier this week and didn't know what it was. Now I know. I'm forcing myself to wait to start Christmas shopping and decorating until after Thanksgiving, but I can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas, all! I was in Anthropologie just a couple days a go, admiring those plates, and almost bought the measuring cups disguised as pineapple (for myself). I keep the WS soaps by my sinks too - love the meyer lemon!
ReplyDeleteThose socks are the best! This is a great way for us to get started on the holiday shopping we haven't done yet. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

All fabulous ideas!!! Thanks for the inspiration to get started on my shopping - arggh!! Hope your weekend is going fabulously! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOMG those socks are the best!!! I also love monogrammed gifts and am going to use your idea of flowers in a pitcher. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLove, love the pineapple measuring cups, will go check those out right now. I do at least 75% of all of my shopping online. Easiest shopping in the world!
ReplyDeleteKatie, You will be a most welcomed guest if you are planning to arrive with any of these goodies in hand for your hostess! A friend brought me that exact Wms-Sonoma grapefruit soap and lotion set, and it's a nice crisp citrusy scent. And I have burned through a few of those wine cork candles and they are very cute. I think my favorite is the monogrammed pitcher so while you are at Mark and Graham ordering one for me don't miss their preppy plaid cocktail napkins! I'm definitely looking forward to doing more online shopping with your ideas! Linda
ReplyDeleteI always love getting ideas for hostess gifts. I have to say those measuring cups from Anthropologie are my pick. That is one of my favorite stores in Bridgestreet in Huntsville, Al. Even my Mr likes to look around in there.
ReplyDeleteI'd completely forgotten about W and S Pink Grapefruit line. I adored it some time ago and then, poof! Forgot all about it. Thanks for giving me a reason to zip down to my local W and S to stock up, Sis. I was just down there on Saturday, too but just popped into Pottery Barn. Of course, I could order online but I've been spending a lot of time indoors watching The Crown, I mean, writing, that I think it's good for me to get out and about. Have a splendid week!
