Happy Friday, dear friends. Before I get into my favorite things, I want to show you what I spotted yesterday on my walk.
My enthusiasm was dampened when I was greeted by these cold eyes. They don't like it when Mama goes on a walk without them.

I have a very special guest today. Her name is #1, and she was kind enough to write about her latest favorite thing. For the past couple of months, my girl has been calling me on her way home from one of her classes bursting with enthusiasm.

I love my new topiary in my planter from The Enchanted Home. Now, if I can keep it alive for more than a month, it will be a miracle.
I have seen photos of avocado and egg all over my facebook. After hearing Dr. Oz declare it a superfood, I finally tried it and I am a fan. It takes less than 2 minutes to make it in the microwave. Along with being healthy, it also keeps me full for hours, which is a feat in itself.
This series covers the story of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald in the days before she marries F. Scott Fitzgerald. Christina Ricci captures Zelda's effervescent personality and Joy de Vivre.
Synopsis
I tuned into The Family because I love Joan Allen. There are plenty of twists and turns in this intriguing story of a kidnapped boy who comes home after ten years. Every week I think I have it figured out, and I am always wrong.
These will make your job even easier!
Love this tray!!
My new favorite website is Draper James, which was founded by Reese Witherspoon. It has great clothes and fabulous accessories for your wardrobe as well as your home.
This is not a sponsored post even though Reese and I look like we are twins separated at birth.
What's your new favorite thing?
Until next time...
I'm sending the info on class pass to my daughter Megan. She loves to try out new workout classes! Thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteSo much amazing goodness here! Oh look at those sweet doggies mad at mama! I absolutely love Reese Witherspoon and I so want to go down to her store in Tennessee someday!! I hope you have a most glorious weekend wonderful lady!
ReplyDeleteYour#1 is darling! I think my #2 would love ClassPass. I am passing this along to her!!
ReplyDeleteGreat guest post!! Thanks for the info #1! My scottie gets mad when I walk without her too -- but really, she is a slow walker so no calories burned taking her for a walk. Love your favorites and will definitely look for the Quick Shine. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteClassPass sounds great. I love passing on exercise class!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking up the Zelda series now. All over anything Fitgerald-y Happy weekend to you!
I love every favorite and I must have the blue and white planter.
ReplyDeleteAnd because avocados are personal favorites, I will try the egg as well.
Keeping full longer would be a great help on my 'today is the first day of my last diet ' routine.
Enjoyed visiting!
PS.
ReplyDelete#1 is beautiful!
Your poor littles are just precious!! My new favorite thing is a clean puppy dog. I did try Starbucks new Smoked Butterscotch Latte though, but it did not become a new favorite thing. This weekend, I will get to enjoy my favorite girl doing her thing at the Talent on Parade Dance Competition, and last Wednesday, I got to watch my favorite no. 1 son play his first college concert. I hope you enjoy the early spring, and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I can save the calories on the Smoked Butterscotch Latte. I sounds really good, though!! Sounds like this is a busy time for you. Enjoy every minute - it goes by so darn quickly. Great to hear from you, Lori, and hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteSome of my new favorites are the dresses at The Loft and The Limited this spring. I certainly have to try the egg in the avocado! It's on my list. I've not watched The Family but am going to try and catch up. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOOOOOVE daffodils, they always make me sing SPRRRRRRRRRRRIIIINNNG IS HEEEEERRREEE! When we were young, we used to bring flowers to our teacher from our yard, it was always a fun treat.
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Love Draper JAmes! Thanks for the tip on class pass, unfortunately it is not in my area...bummer. I guess that means I have to get back to boot camp.
ReplyDeleteI love avacado and eggs but not that recipe, I do not like runny eggs and I could never get mine to cook the way I like it. But I do eat avocado and egg every morning.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy your Spring like weather.
Love the class pass idea, very clever. And am also a fan of Draper James and her wonderful southern style. I really loved seeing my pretty planter to good use in your beautiful home....and your girls are so pretty! Hope you enjoy your weekend eating avocados and eggs lol.
ReplyDeleteI have a bottle of Holloway House Quick Shine in my house. My neighbor recommended it several years ago, but I have never used it. Do you use it on hardwood, tile, etc?
ReplyDeleteThat avocado/egg idea looks SO good. I love Draper James too - I just wish they'd make some of their dresses a little longer for us tall girls! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Can I just have the dog with the duster feet? Labs are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Class Pass but if it works for Zumba try it out! I am completely and totally addicted.
Have a great weekend. :)
Love the idea of class pass! Seriously need to check out that floor cleaner as well.
ReplyDeleteI am loving The Family. Such a great cast and show. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI do not have a MICROWAVE!!!!!I KNOWI KNOW......dont want one!
ReplyDeleteHow do I do the avocado and egg without!I guess just poach egg and slide into AVOCADO!
Did you see my ELIZABETHAN INVENTION on INSTAGRAM?Poached egg on a slice of MOZARELLA with iceberg lettuce underneath...............IT KEEPS ME FULL TOO which is NEVER THE CASE!
Hi Katie - I saw your comment on Decor to Adore about living in the Irish Riviera south of Boston and wanted to say hello as we're practically neighbors. A very belated welcome to the South Shore!
ReplyDeleteFun list this week. I love that topiary! Thanks for sharing on #FridayFrivolity
ReplyDeleteWow, Katie I can't keep up with your blogging energy! So many fun posts to read and I learned so much and laughed so much...love it! Your daughter is adorable and I will have to check out that pass she is recommending. Variety in exercise is a great thing otherwise I get bored. I'm so into avocado toast but now I'm going to have to try an egg in it!! What a filling breakfast or lunch! Draper James has beautiful things and I really need to check out, The Family! Yes, my dog does not like it at all when I walk without him! Sometimes it is such a nice break to leave him at home and not have to stop for a smell every 5 seconds! My new strategy is to do squats or march in place when he stops. Anything to burn a few calories.
