Hello, dear friends. Happy Texas Independence Day! I tried to convince the Mister that it's a gift-giving holiday, but to my dismay, he didn't believe me.
Rumor has it that it is officially Spring in eighteen days. If I am wrong, please don't correct me - let me live in my little dream world.
All is well around here. The Mister and I fell head-over-heels in love with a house yesterday. We made an offer, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Unfortunately, the owners have received a few offers, so we shall see if we sweetened the deal enough to win the prize.
By the way, it has every feature that I have wanted in a house.
The Mister, not so much, but he still loves it.
Today, I am joining other bloggers over at Tanya's The Other Side of the Road for the Prime Purchases link-up. I love this link-up because it's fun to see what other people are buying on Amazon. Our credit card bill was a wee bit heftier this month due to that pesky little pipe burst.
My Orders
I just ordered this because a correspondent on The Today Show talked about how much she loves this cream. I haven't received it yet - but I'll keep you posted.
This is my old stand-by, so I ordered this one too as my back-up.
The last apartment had a stackable washer/dryer. Our new pad has a side-by-side, so I ordered this, and it works out well.
Unfortunately, Chili's bed took a deep dive in the flood.
Luckily, she wasn't on it.
I read about this little doohickey on another blog, and it works wonders.
Reorder.
At my tender age, I need all the help I can get.
You know that you are getting old when you order one of these!
I use them for all my vitamins.
He will make me throw it out.
Chili needs a little somethin' to help her daily Prozac go down.
Two weeks after I have my hair colored, the roots begin to show.
My ice roller is in storage, so I bought another one.
This not only helps with facial puffiness but also works wonders on my sinus headaches.
During that nightmare of a winter storm we had, the grocery shelves were bare.
Even the Cremora!!
Every time we get home from being out in public, we pop a couple of these. Not sure they do any good, but they sure taste good!!
One of the many things that I appreciate about Texas is that they still use plastic bags.
Don't judge me.
These drawer organizers are the best!
The Mister's bathmats were destroyed by the flood.
My mats washed like a charm.
So I ordered the Mister a couple in manly grey.
He should have listened to me in the first place!
We love our little tray tables.
Unfortunately, the cushions were ruined, so we had to order replacements.
Note to self: Uggs do not do well in a foot of water.
We're on our second box of these.
I'm happy to report that the mornings are getting warmer, so I ordered a couple of these for my walks.
I am reading this little suspenseful page-turner.
And listening to this thriller which is spine-tingling.
The Mister's Orders
The most unglamorous part of apartment life is carrying grocery bags through the huge garage to the apartment.
The Mister loves this thing.
Another gadget gained in the Mister's arsenal.
He's been on an Animal Crackers kick.
After the flood, he invested in one of these.
My mouse took a dive too.
Lucky for me, I had my computer with me.
The Mister also invested in a couple of these fold-up lanterns.
Until next time...
Let me introduce you to Nancy, who hails from one of my favorite cities, Chicago, Illinois, and her little darling, Vinnie.
Meet Vinnie, a pampered (spoiled) 3-year-old French Bulldog. He requires a minimum of 18 hours of sleep daily and then is forced to consume massive calories in his brief waking hours to maintain his enviable figure! Vinnie suffers from an identity crisis and has absolutely no idea he is a dog!
Thank you, Nancy.
Vinnie predicted no more winter, right?

How EXCITING that you found a house you LOVE! I am hoping your offer is the one they take, Katie! Keep us posted! Thanks for sharing your hand creams. I am always looking for new ones to try and added both of those to my Amazon list. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHello, I love my UGG slippers, they were a Christmas gift from my number 1 son. They are currently my favorite school shoes while teaching from home. Once I return to the building, they will get a much needed rest. Hope you get the house!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the house since you love it so much!! Those pill hiding snacks for dogs are adorable - I could have used those with my dog. Ah well, still good to know. :)

I have my fingers crossed that you'll get the house in this crazy real estate market. Thanks for all the shopping ideas and for linking up with Prime Purchases! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to hear about the house. Fingers crossed that you made the best offer.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I think I’ll avail myself of that ice roller for my own sinus and puffiness issues! Good luck with your house offer, I will be so excited to see what you chose and how you will make it gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteMy guys just love Dove. And I need that massager, I’ve got the neck one but I had a nasty fall on ice in a grocery store parking lot last week and ugh, I’m sore. I’m over the moon for you and the house. Crossing my fingers and toes.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I need to get that roller thing. I had a 3 day migraine a few days ago so maybe that will help...I'll try anything! Congrats on finding a house you love - I hope they take your offer! Sending you positive vibes!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Hey Katie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. Yes today was so very beautiful. Tom and I drove over to Dallas to meet dear friends at Northpark to eat at Eately’s. Loved loved walking through there. Felt like I was in Europe. Our friends redid a one story house in a Lakewood. They also have a house in CO like we do...so we spend the summers together. Just to be safe we took our food out into the mall to eat even though we are all well past our second shots.
So excited to find out all about your house! Hmmm isn’t Texas Independence a day you are supposed to get diamonds?! Fingers crossed for your house.
I am so excited you found THE house and trust the owners will recognize that it is yours. Can't wait to hear where you will be living and hoping it isn't too far from me.
ReplyDeleteGreat recommendations and Vinnie is precious! Excited to hear more about THE house!
ReplyDeleteGlad I am not the only popping those vitamin C things every time I go out. I want to believe those help! I love those commercials from the Dr. Rick. I suppose because I think a bunch apply to me:) My favorite is the look they all get when they are going to have to open a pdf file. My daughter and her friends were discussing which parents could get Netflix to work on the TV. Lindsay was able to brag on us.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck on the house.
Best of luck on the house offer!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your house offer, Katie. I hope it comes through. And yes, I can relate to those pill holders. Unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about the house!! I have that same rolling cart between my washer and dryer and love it and I have the same hangers from amazon. I take airborne, too. I usually just take 1 in the morning and 1 at night except when I'm getting ready to go out of the country and then I take several in the morning and several at night :-). Considering that hasn't happened since February of 2021, I'm just taking 2 a day. Do you take several every day?
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing what others are ordering from Amazon. I'm adding a few I see here to my next order. I am really interested in the Yeti, I have a fear of loosing power with no way to charge my phone (except in the car). This could be my new security blanket so thank Mister for doing the research. We pop those same gummies, it can't hurt. I hope your offer is accepted on the house! Happy March Katie.......
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie! I just ordered a pill box, I am taking so many vitamin and health daily gummies, it will be so handy to keep them organized!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Oh, I can't wait to hear about the house! I like a lot of these products, but too bad you had to reorder some because of the flood. Ugg, I mean ugh.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! I'm crossing my fingers on the house for you. My brother and SIL just recently moved to Tyler, TX from Oro Valley, Az. Within 24 hours 8 people got into a bidding war for their house and they ended up getting $10,000 more than they were even asking. What a sweet deal! Sounds like the house you all are looking at may be in this same situation. Okay, I'm going to go check out several of your finds and they'll likely be my find soon.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed about the house. Eager to hear the news! Happy March!
ReplyDeleteI love my ice roller! Keep me posted on the house offer! Exciting!
ReplyDeleteDid you have to waive all your rights ;0) happy day friend!
