Let's Go Shopping at The Mint Julep

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you had a good weekend.  Ours was busy with errands and shopping for the new house.

Last week, we drove to Rockwall, and I  got vaccinated.

This was how I felt when I walked out of the CVS.  And that wasn't even the best part of my day!

I have been following a darling shop, The Mint Julep, on Instagram for a while now.  You'll never guess where it's located... Rockwall!

Now that's what I call
Serendipity!

So, I took the Mister and my newly-vaccinated arm and headed over to check out The Mint Julep in person.

The minute I walked in the door, my heart began to pitter-patter.

I knew at that moment that the Mister was going to have to use the jaws-of-life to get me out of there.

I had not done any fun shopping in over a year.
I had a lot of making up to do.

The prices are very reasonable.

How precious is this little lamb!

This is Tessa on the left with one of your fabulously helpful staffers.

If you live within driving distance of Rockwall, I suggest you stop by The Mint Julep.  If you live in another state, take a gander at their website, and you can also follow them on Instagram.

I may have walked out empty-handed, but I'm expecting a big delivery truck the day after we close.
I can't wait!

Until next time...

  1. The Mint Julep looks like the shop of my dreams! It's probably good that it's too far away for me to visit. I hope you found some things for your new home.

  2. What a wonderful shop. So glad you are newly vaccinated. I have been fully vaccinated for almost six weeks. It has really taken a load off of my shoulders. xo Laura

  3. The Mint Julep looks very much like this fabulous shop in Fairhope, AL. I am at a loss for the name of it right now, something with gate in it, but I KNOW where it is and I am so wanting to go now for an in person shopping trip too. I get my second shot the Monday after Easter. People can't just count on the end of April and May, this girl is going to be let out of her cage. I hope you found some cute thing or at least some cute ideas for the new place.
Sweet Chowdah! Is chili going to stay with #2?

  13. Katie, girl I haven't commented in awhile but I'm here reading! I live in Rockwall and you just revealed one of my favorite shops!! If you want to come back to Rockwall one day, I can show you some more darling places! It's a small town really so there's not a whole bunch of stores but we do have several and some great places to eat lunch. :)

  19. Uh oh...that place is now calling my name LOL. I live on the "border" of Plano and Carrollton so Rockwall is not that far for me to travel, think I've got to make that trip real soon! Thanks for sharing.

  21. Howdy Chowdah! What a great store! Reminds me of a place in Charlotte that I love called Black Lion. Loved it so much that I got a part time job there for awhile right after my own #2 left for college. We were all part time and they asked you in the interview if you were already a customer. Then when you were hired, you got a cubby and a 10% discount. They made money off of me instead of the other way around but it was a fun job to have for awhile. 😂 I’m sure it was hard to walk out of this place empty handed! Your day is coming!!
