Winsome Wreaths

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you are enjoying your weekend.  It's sunny and bitterly cold here.  The Mister and I got some shopping, lunching, and a couple of great movies into the weekend.

We also did a lot of this.

I have spent a considerable amount of time on line in search of a replacement wreath for my door.  I still have my bright red one in place.  The Mister told me that he thinks that we should keep it up all year round.  Nice try, Mister.

Obviously, there are many that I can't hang outdoors, but I thought that they were pretty anyway.  And I'm sure I could find the perfect place for one inside.  Don't tell the Mister.  I like to use the element of surprise.

  1. Oh my goodness! How will you decide? There are so many beautiful ones! Ha, ha - the cork one could hold a place of honour somewhere in your house. Hmmmm, what sort of wreath can you make if you drink wine in a box?? -Jenn

  3. I adore wreaths too and they dress up so many spaces.
    Pinning some of these beauties.
Happy Sunday and wishes to you for a lovely week!

  4. So many pretty choices. I still love a simple boxwood wreath.

  5. They are all great, aren't they? I love wreaths. I will say the Hydrangea wreaths-while so very beautiful- do NOT hold up well on a door that actually opens and closes on a regular basis--do NOT ask me how I know this. Now...if you are using artificial hydrangeas that might work perfectly.
That first Valentine Day wreath would be a cute one for my granddaughters!
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. xo Diana

  8. Hello my dear Katie
I hope you are having a happy weekend, I didn't know you kept a wreath on your door all year, how lovely. I love the one you have shown from Joss and main, they are not very hard to make.
I confess I thought about sending a wreath to you, but due to the courier size restrictions decided on the little one. Im so glad its still looking nice :) and do apologise for my belated reply my dear.
I loved the video of the dogs with their treats!
    Hope you are keeping warm

  10. The wreaths are all beautiful - tough decision! And if you run out of supplies to make the last wreath, I have two huge boxes here - I am seeing a pattern in our interests!

  11. I think I need to visit Viva Terra.

All so pretty. I'm eager for spring's Summer Exposure workshops, though I'll probably drag out the forsythia wreath anyway because I love it so much!

    More chowdah, please!

  13. The TwoInspireYou door wreath shop on Etsy has realistic boxwood and evergreen wreaths - although she doesn't have any evergreen wreaths listed after the holidays.

  14. Great suggestions. I have an ivy (faux) wreath that I hang for spring/summer. Not very fancy but I can't talk myself into paying $100+ for something that the sun will beat on most of the summer! :-) Maybe I should go with the cork wreath...I have the supplies for that one as well! :-)

  15. Way too many choices! How will you ever decide? I didn't even hang a wreath this year, but I have one in storage. Does that count? It's basically fall, so it wouldn't help you. '-)

  16. Beauties!! The Valentine's wreath has me thinking.

  17. Which did you pick? I love the lemon ones - I may have to order one! Hope you have a fabulous week, my dear!! xoxo

  18. Ah, these are all so pretty but like some others, I do love the lemon ones. And, the one from Etsy is just gorgeous! Fun post!

  19. Gorgeous wreaths! I like the 2nd wreath and the hydrangea wreath. Like NanaDiana said, hydrangea wreaths on a door that opens and closes alot won't last long. I know all about hydrangeas. I had them in my courtyard wall garden the past 11 years...several different types of hydrangeas...and once they dry...they are delicate. And it doesn't take long for them to dry. Have a great week!!

  20. Ooh...love them all! I'm not a very talented crafter, but I enjoy it so much! I just made a new wreath for our front door, in fact. Pretty tickled with how it turned out.
