My Favorite Things

Hello, dear friends.  Well, it's finally here.  Today is my last day of blogging until September.

I'm not going to bore you with all the fun projects I plan on tackling during my summer hiatus.  The walk of shame is too humiliating when I come back and admit that I basically did nothing.  It might be different, though, because the Mister will be fully retired. I am pretty sure I will want to keep busy.  Keep me in your prayers.

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you had a good weekend.  Rumor has it that the East Coast got pretty toasty.

On Saturday, the Mister and I went out for a fabulous lunch.  Seasons 52 never disappoints.  The Mister even ordered a salad.  He did reward himself later with a nine-pound bag of popcorn with a pint of extra butter.

Hello, dear friends.  Happy Friday!  I hope that you had a good week.  The highlight for me was my upholstery for my office arrived.  There are still a few things that I am waiting on, so the official unveiling will be in September.  I am also working on our master bedroom, which hopefully will be done by that time, as well.

Hello, dear friends.  How was your weekend?  We had a good one.  Friday night, we met some friends at our village wine bar.  Saturday, we caught up on some errands and enjoyed a lovely lunch at one of my favorite spots, Brio.  Sunday, was Holy Sheet Day! so I caught up on laundry and all my Bravo shows.

The dynamic duo is back together in all their glory.  My #2 accepted an assignment in Boston, so we will see a lot more of Chowdah.  Millie couldn't be happier; Chowdah not so much.

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you all had a good week. Although it flew by, I didn't do anything exciting.  I did burn some calories whining about my allergies. But that covers it. 

Today, I am meeting some friends for a glass of chardonnay at our local wine bar, which is always a guaranteed good time.

Our #1 girl arrived on Friday night.  Our #2 picked her up at the airport, and we had a delicious dinner ala The Mister on the patio.

Reading, Writing, & Listening

Hello, dear friends.  I hope this post finds you well.  We've had a lot of rain here in North Texas.  Our hydrangeas look like they are enjoying it, though.

I had a busy week.  My neighbor took me out to lunch to celebrate my birthday.  We went to Pei Wei, which I hadn't been to in ten years.  I love their Asian Chopped Chicken salad, and it was just as good as I remembered it.
