Sunday's Q & A

Hello, dear friends.  A funny thing happened to me on Friday.  I got home from my daily walk and all of a sudden I felt like I got hit with a ton of bricks.

Meanwhile, the Mister had gone shopping and was busy working on the meal prep for our Saturday night dinner party. I had done all my chores which consisted of buying the flowers and setting the table the day before.

Let me backstep... when this whole Covid nightmare began, I thought that I was infected at least twice a week.  In the beginning, I would share that fact with the Mister who usually met my words with an eye-roll.  I soon learned to keep my self-diagnosis to myself.

We both received our vaccines, boosters, and flu shots and are diligent about wearing our masks.

The Friday Files

Hello, dear friends.  TGIF!  I hope that you had a good week.  I know that a lot of snow is expected in many parts of the country.  My heart goes out to you if you are in the storm's path.

I'm running behind today because my mouse went on the fritz yesterday.  Lucky for me, my tech team, otherwise known as The Mister, was able to save the day when he got home from work.

Back In The Hodgepodge Seat

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you are enjoying your week.  All is well here except that it has been quite nippy.  After watching the weather report this morning for the rest of the country, I can't complain.

Millie has continued her digging gardening with more gusto than ever.  We have tried three different pet-safe products to deter her from her new hobby, but nothing has proved effective.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

By the way... as you can see from the photo, Millie has developed a taste for our pillows.

Sunday's Q & A

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you are having a good weekend.  Yesterday, the Mister and I went out for a scrumptious lunch and then topped it off with burning off some calories by power shopping.  That's my kind of cardio.

Today, I am joining Sunday Stealingwhere Bev writes the hard-hitting question and unassuming bloggers, such as moi, do their best at answering them.

The Friday Files

Hello, dear friends.  I hope you had a good week.
All is well around here.
We've been dealing with freezing temps but no snow.

Our girl, Millie, has quite the green paw.  She has been helping us by pulling out all the dead flowers in our little garden.  She then likes to bring them into the house to show me what a good job she's been doing.  She is off to camp today to work off some of her youthful exuberance.

Reading, Watching, & Listening

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you had a good weekend.  We went out for dinner on Friday night with some friends and spent the rest of the weekend hibernating.

Yesterday, the Mister took the day off, and we had delicious lunch at one of my favorite spots, Brio.

Adios San Miguel

Hello, dear friends.  My last post chronicles our fabulous visit to San Miguel de Allende.  You can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here.

There are a few things that I want to mention.  First of all, our entire travel experience was seamless.  As I noted, traveling on Christmas Eve day paid off for us.

San Miguel Through AJ's Lens

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you are having a good week.  This post is Part 2 of our Christmas holiday.  Adorable Jonathon is the man behind the lens.  When he sent me his photos, I thought that they caught the flavor of San Miguel and deserved a post of their own.  I added some commentary and also a few articles of interest.

If you missed Part 1, you can find it here.

Our Holiday In Pictures

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you enjoyed your weekend.  We got together with friends on Friday night, which is always a good time.  Saturday, we headed to Costco when it opened to avoid the crowds.  The rest of the weekend was cold and dreary, so we watched a couple of movies and read our books.  That's my idea of a perfect January weekend.

Today, I am sharing bucket loads some photos with you of our Christmas getaway to San Miguel de Allende.  We invited the girls and Adorable Jonathon to join us as our Christmas present to them.  It took them less than a full minute to say yes.

The Friday Files

Hello, dear friends.  Welcome to the first Friday Files of 2022.  How did your first full week of the new year go for you?  It seemed pretty long to me.  That may be due to the bitterly cold weather.  I'm not going to complain, though, because my friends in the Boston area are getting hit with a mother of a snowstorm.  As we say down south... bless your hearts.

Are you looking for a book to snuggle up with this weekend?

Prime Time

Hello, dear friends.  Happy New Year!  I hope you are well and had an enjoyable time over the holidays.  We took a little getaway to Mexico.  Not to worry, I took lots of pics which I can't wait to bore you with share with you.  We all came out at the end healthy, which was my Christmas wish.

Over the weekend, our #2 and her beau came for lunch.  At the last minute, #2 had to back out of going to Mexico with us, which is a long story.  I will share details with you at a later date.  Nothing happens in this family without a dash of drama.

Anywho, the Mister's appetizers were inspired by the fabulous food that we devoured in Mexico.  He told our #2 that since she couldn't go to Mexico, he would bring a taste of it to her.

Every evening, our hotel served cucumber with Tajin with our cocktails.
Btw... I picked up that cute little blue and white number at the market in Mexico.  They had so many beautiful pottery pieces that were dirt cheap.
