Hello, dear friends. I hope that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. I am going on a huuuge diet. Am I the only one who has mumbled those words this weekend? I have stretched out my stomach so much that I have reverted back to my infant stage. If I don't satisfy the need for a feeding every two hours, I get cranky and cry.

Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

Oh I love all of these Katie...but I just am not quite ready for Christmas.....so happy you enjoyed Thanksgiving with your darling girls....
ReplyDeleteCutest daughters ever! So glad they both got to come home! I always do something with cranberries for my table..very fresh.
ReplyDeleteI spent all day yesterday putting up tree only because my next 3 weekends crazy busy..and all grands are expecting YaYas house to be completely red and greened UP!!!! Enjoy your Sunday!
I love the dog with the wreath! May just do that and call it a day!!
ReplyDeleteKatie, those are wonderful centrepieces. You make me laugh with your comparison to an infant. If you "diet" up until Christmas, then you'll have wiggle room for the next round of feasting! :) -Jenn
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend...love the scrabble decorations.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the pictures of you and your girlies on Instagram. I am with you completely, back to the straight and narrow tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing all that research! I am sure that there is something I can copy there. I'm not feeling very 'original' this year, so this will be a big help.
ReplyDeleteI love all the cranberries and the one with the scrabble pieces is SO cute. Thanks for finding the great ideas for us!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the cranberry-filled vase containing short white roses. I am confident that I can replicate it - maybe.
ReplyDeleteSo happy your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The centerpieces are all stunning.
ReplyDeleteKatie, these are all so gorgeous and easy enough I could do! I especially like the greenery and silver fro Hgtv. This season looks to be fast and furious so I need easy. Have a great week..........
ReplyDeleteHard to pick a favorite. I was going with the wrapped gifts (and would use the ones heading over to the actual guest at the table I think) until I saw the fuchsia ornaments! Lovely photo of you and your peeps. Spent a relaxed day with our adult son (alone) and there is nothing like it.-Laurel https://littleblackdomicile.com
ReplyDeleteAgain LOVING the reds but what I love most of all, the picture with 1&2! Oh how I see how they got their beauty! Precious!
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely ideas! Thank you for sharing them :-) Have a wonderful week!

Happy to hear about your wonderful Thanksgiving with your beautiful girls. Looking forward to hearing about the movie and your book selections.
ReplyDeleteI love these ideas and think I might try one, centerpieces is not my strong point.
Have a great week.
Hardly anything beats Mom/daughter time. And, such cute arrangements. I might have to snag one of these ideas. NOTE: As to the hearts over my Grangirls.....their Mom has never allowed their faces to be shown on the internet and of course, I must honor that. Shucks!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie, what would we do without Pinterest?? And daughters!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you didn't lift a finger but you did some good research! I really like a lot of these (even done the Scrabble letters myself!). Bring on the ideas!
ReplyDeleteHello, Katie! I'm the newest member of the TT's, and I am so excited! I love your Pinterest picks. I need to follow you on Pinterest! I wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

What did we do before Pinterest? Now, if we could get those wonderful ideas to replicate themselves in our home, we'd have it made. Your daughters are just beautiful. Like their Mom!
