Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

Ha! Our book club "read" the first in the series (I never finished, waste of time, money, and well...don't get me started). Anywho...what a delish spread!!! And, a beautiful home to boot. I did not get to attend our last couple meetings due to conflicts, so I am looking forward to fall. I wish we met during the daytime rather than evening (especially now that my days are free). Elie, our oldest just finished reading Great Gatsby in preparation for seeing the movie. It was one of our all time favorite books!! Hope the movie does it justice.
ReplyDeleteWow love it all..from the beautiful home to the yummy looking food (would love the recipe to the carrot cake cupcakes, one of my most favorite desserts)! Love your book choice and enjoyed the movie a lot...very over the top but that's why we escape to the movies!!
ReplyDeleteHer home is gorgeous and looks like an amazing spread of food. I'll have to remember the quiche for the next book club I host.. great idea! Those cupcakes look amazing ~love that huge glob of frosting on top:) The book would be one I would enjoy reading for this months book club. I'm not sure what book they've chosen but I am not attending because of our busy June schedule.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the weekend! xxleslie
WOW! It looks like the perfect afternoon. What a beautiful home! I love Gatsby.....now I must go find myself a cupcake....

First of all my mouth is watering looking at all the yummy food. I think it is great you have a book club. I just re read "The Great Gatsby" the week before the movie came out and I was a fan the second time around.
