Another Fabulous Book Club

My friend, Chris, hosted book club this month.  She has a gorgeous home and she entertains beautifully.  I always know the food will be spectacular at Chris' home because she owned a successful catering business called Chris' Kitchen.

Love the centerpiece on her kitchen island.

The table looked stunning.  I don't know what it is about it, but I love the looks of a bench at a table.

Chris just painted her kitchen and den the most beautiful shade of blue.  It is so light and airy.

How pretty is this place setting?  Believe it or not... it is plastic!  From Pottery Barn ... where else.  I love that store!

Not only can Chris cook ... she can put together the most gorgeous flower arrangements.

Could not get enough of these mouth-watering Truffled Asparagus Crostinis.  You can find the recipe here.

These are the most delicious mushroom tarts.

Not only is this salad gorgeous... it is positively delectable!  The ingredients include Melon, Serrano Ham and Arugula.  YUM! Chris was sweet enough to provide the recipe here.

Another delicious salad that Chris served is a Pine Nut and Lemon Orzo.  You can find the recipe here.  Chris also mentioned that she used less lemon juice and more Parmesan.

As a note... I have to say that both salads were the perfect compliment to each other and I strongly suggest serving them together.

We enjoyed these yummy baby bundts from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Chris' dining room is so pretty and painted in a Tiffany blue.

Such a pretty living room.  My #1 would love that mirror!!!

Gorgeous pool with lush landscaping.

It was the most perfect day!  We sat out in this gorgeous setting before lunch and chatted away!

Have always loved this table with the flowers.

Do these look comfy, or what?

A few of my buddies had to leave early before I got a picture.  These beautiful ladies are: Madumita, Jackie, Chris (hostess with the mostess), Corrine, and Kirsten.

I am delighted to announce that Chris has agreed to be a contributor to my blog.  Her posts will be titled "Chris' Kitchen"  and she will present more fabulous recipes and easy entertaining ideas.
Can't wait!!!

This was our book choice this month which I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

  6. Hi Katie, and thank you for sweet comment. I love the color of the dining room, and had a similar color ten years ago. I miss that color! I think it was my favorite ever. I am your newest follower and look forward to more recipes from you and Chris.

  10. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the structure
of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got
to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1
or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?
