Happy Birthday,
Audrey Hepburn!
Audrey Hepburn has been my idol since I was 5 years old when my parents brought me to Radio City Music Hall at Christmas time to see the Rockettes and the movie Charade.
Although I was young and didn't realize it at the time - she set a standard for me that day - one that was out of reach, but it still existed.
As a tribute, I chose the song Moon River for my first dance as a married woman at my wedding.
She was, and always will be, the epitome of elegance, unstoppable grace, and unbridled compassion.
Thank you Audrey Hepburn, for your wonderful movies, your fabulous fashion sense, and your words of wisdom.

ReplyDeleteI love Audrey so much. Brains, balls, and beauty. Truly a woman before her time. Effortless and timeless. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Katie. She also said something about impossible actually being I'm possible. I miss her presence in films and take every opportunity to watch her old movies. Elegance and grace.
ReplyDeleteLove this wonderful tribute!! She was such a class act, I still enjoy her movies and watch them here and there. A beautiful person inside and out, I know she will always be remembered for the epitome of elegance and grace. Moon River is one of my "oldies" favorites...such a classic!
