Hostess Gifts/Take 1

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope that you had a good weekend.  Our girls and Adorable Jonathon came for lunch on Sunday.  It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed the Mister's delectable feast al fresco.   I can't tell you how much I love having us all in the same area.

I have some food pics, but unfortunately, my guest photos were off-limits.

We began with the Mister's butter board.
It was positively delish.
I posted this on Insta and got many requests for the recipe.
I posted it at the bottom of the page.

New York Sirloin Topped with garlic herb butter and a side of Mexican street corn.

We ended with an apple cobbler because we didn't inhale enough calories.

As you well know, we are approaching the holiday season.   I put together some ideas for hostess gifts.  This is the first of two parts.

I love these sets to give as well as to receive.

My favorite hand cream is rich, smells yummy, and comes in a pretty box.

A cutting board for the blue and white aficionado.

Pretty!

I ordered one of these for moi.

This would be cute for a newly engaged couple.

A holiday candle is always a good idea.

If you have time to order, this is a great idea for someone who loves entertaining.  It will remind them to invite you to all of their parties.

A pretty dish towel is always appreciated.

If you wrap it around a bottle of wine, it would be appreciated even more.

Who does this remind you of?

She excelled at holding the stick.

Next step.... the bottle.

If you are bringing a dish, leave it as a hostess gift.
There is nothing sadder than the guest walking out of the party with a barely-eaten crab dip.  And you know that the husband was the one who took the plunge because he still has remnants on his chin.

Cute idea.

I may or may not have ordered this for myself.
I take the 5th.

These plates are so darling.

Dallas ice bucket.
Who knew they made these??

The Mister loves buying and receiving olive oil.
As a matter of fact, a guest recently gave him a bottle, and he was thrilled.
Thanks, Cindy and Barry!

My favorite food groups!

They have some great gift baskets.

Who doesn't love Stonewall Kitchen?

A sweet gift for a true friend.

I need one of these so the Mister can bring me my tea and biscuits in style.

I ordered this for the Mister in honor of his favorite food group.

Look out for me on Instagram today.
I have a big announcement about a partnership with one of my favorite brands!

  3. I think my cholesterol jumped a couple of hundred points when I saw that butter board, but I saved it anyway. I also need to say thanks for the of the book recommendations on your previous post. THE WIDOW was riveting. My lack of sleep today reflects just how much so. Ellen Shook

  4. My favorite item was the ornament! That’s where I live so, of course, the butter boards will be followed by the cannoli board. I’m sure he has the recipe in his head. I’m waiting

  6. Katie ~ Just FYI...The Blue Willow glass cutting board is $20 cheaper on Amazon for the exact same thing that is on The Well Appointed Home. ~ Debbi
