Green With Envy & Some Recipes

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you had a good week.  The highlight of mine was on Wednesday when I met my dear friend, Debbie, in Dallas for lunch.  I just read that sentence.  No, this is not the infamous Debbie who did Dallas.  Whew... I'm glad we got that straightened out!

We met at the restaurant Rise.  I had been there years ago on our first round in Texas.  It is such a darling place and the souffles are to die for.

We both ordered Marshmallow Soup, which is a personal favorite of mine.  It is a creamy carrot-tomato bisque topped with mini goat cheese souffles that look like marshmallows drizzled with pesto.

Then we split the piece de resistance... the almighty chocolate souffle.  It was every bit as good as it looks.

We then did our share of retail therapy to burn off the calories.

Today, I am presenting you with some beautifully decorated rooms featuring my second favorite color, green.  I have a more extensive post coming your way in a week, paying homage to St. Paddy's signature color.

Cabot Cove Cottages

I think this wallpaper is so cute and perfect for a beach cottage.
It would be cute in pink too.

I've never been able to find the source of this pic.
It was one of my inspiration images for my great room.

And now it's time for my mea culpa moment.  Last week, when I published the Mister's skewer recipe, I left out one crucial ingredient - tortellini.

 Here are the ingredients:

2-3 tortellini noodles
cherry tomato
basil
bocconcini
blackberry
finish with a drizzle of balsamic syrup
You can find the cute skewers here.

Sorry, I skewered up!

Good news for you...
The Mister typed this recipe.

I love a tool-around-town kind of dress.

  1. Thank goodness you cleared up the confusion about your friend Debbie! I was starting to worry about the company you keep! Ha!!
Your lunch looked fabulous and I was happy to read that the soup did not in fact include marshmallows but goat cheese that looked like marshmallows. So much more appealing!
    Have a super weekend Katie!
