Hello, dear friends. Happy St. Paddy's Day!

It turns out my hair was plenty long enough, and I must say I really liked it. It gave my hair volume and left it without frizz.
This one is a keeper.
The hairdryer comes in two styles of brushes - a roller brush and a flat brush.
Amazon
My old routine called for me to dry my hair and then use the Simply Straight brush. It did a good job, but it took twice as long.

I've been using It's a 10 leave-in treatment for about a year now. This stuff protects the hair from heat, hydrates, detangles, defrizzes, gives the hair great shine and is a fabulous floor wax. OK, I may have lied about the last part.
Amazon
I got turned on to this Living Proof de-frizzer by a friend. I always spray a little of this on my hair before I go out and it does the trick.
My #2 gave me this 2-in-1 cosmetic case for Christmas. I can't believe how much I can get into it. It's on special now, if you are in the market for one.

The eye cream is also very rich and I love the applicator.
Ulta
Today is day 1 or Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty!
I ordered this lash primer at half price.

I just finished listening to this chilling thriller.
It's got a great twist and is not for the faint of heart.

I'm almost finished with this fabulous page-turner which takes place at the Hotel del Coronado.
Amazon
I'm listening to this wonderful novel which takes place at another beautiful hotel - The Ritz Paris.
I highly recommend both books.
Talbots
Talbots has a 30% off sale going on.
I stopped in yesterday and bought these high waisted jeggings.
They have plenty of stretch and are very comfy.
Great news: I went down a size!
Bad news: I'm not sure that I can breathe or sit down.
Until next time...

I am so glad to see the two pupsters celebrating the day and I can tell they are thrilled, too. Just jotted the books down. I have such good luck with It's A 10 products. Their hair "balm" (I think it is) is, hands down, the best hair restorer I have ever used.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday-xo Diana
Happy St Paddys Day from Alabama where the sun is shining the temps are lovely. After all our rain this is wonderful. I always enjoy reading your suggestions Katie. Unfortunately I do watch QVC and they tempt me all the time. I say I am putting it on to just have some background noise but then Isaac Mizrahi fashions or Dooney and Bourke comes on and I am a sucker for a good sales pitch!! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteKatie, your favorite things posts never disappoint! I always find at least one thing I have to explore further! Thanks for the fun!
ReplyDeleteI have a Conair Spinbrush, which I love. It is not a dryer, hair has to be damp only, but it is much easier than the big round brush and blow dryer process and results are almost as good.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear you liked Before She Knew Him. I've heard some mixed review, but I think I'll love it! Also happy that you like the dryer brush. It makes blow drying a breeze!
ReplyDeleteWonderful products on your favorites list Katie...I think I'll try the IT neck cream....love their products! Wishing you a lovely week ahead!
ReplyDeleteYou are the 2nd person I have seen to post about the round hairbrush! I have never been able to use a round brush. Not sure if it is because my hair is so thick and course or what. With it being so short you would think it would be a piece of cake. I may just need to try this though. Thanks for the tips on your favorite things. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteDownloading Before She Knew Him as I type this! Thanks for the rec!

Glad to see your review on the hair brush dryer. I have had it in my cart for a bit, thinking I need to give it a try. Thanks too for more book suggestions. I've got a stack going. Just need some time to sit down and read without falling asleep! Happy Week Ahead!
ReplyDeleteI have heard so much about the Revlon hair brush dryer, that I'm tempted to get one, even though I have a perfectly good dryer already. Everyone's review says it's wonderful and easy to use, and your may be the tipping point. Thanks for the great book suggestions as well. I like the book list journal you recommended.
ReplyDeleteI've been debating about getting the hair brush dryer myself! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! It's my first time here and I am so glad I clicked over from the Hello, Monday linkup! I have been on the fence about that round brush hairdryer. Do you really love it? Is it really easier than maneuvering the round brush and dryer (I think anything would be easier than that mess)? It looks so great!
ReplyDeleteI always love your Favorites because you have superb taste! Yes, I really like It cosmetics and my neck could use a good cream! You’ve got my reading excitement flowing. Happy Day Lovely Lady!
ReplyDeleteTHAT ROLLER FOR THE NECK CREAM IS GREAT!I use it on my face in the AM.......Takes the puffy eyes away and OPENS THE SINUS!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie:
ReplyDeleteVisiting from The Midlife Blogging Community. My Mr. isn't going to be happy that I'm following you and loving all your favorites, but it can be our little secret;). I just had to read the synopsis on Before She knew him because I couldn't remember if I read it. I didn't. I need one of the journal's your friend has. And that round brush sounds wonderful but I'm not sure it would work in long very thick hair. I'm just envisioning a ratted mess. hmmm Helpful tips!
Melanie
Thanks Katie, I might have to get that hair dryer!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Oh that hairdryer has my name on it! I may have to check it out! Fun post!
