Hello, dear friends. I hope you are having a good week. The weather has been crisp but gorgeous around here.
Today, I am linking up with my friend Terri who writes the questions and bloggers answer them. Did you know that it is National Joe/Jo Day? In celebration, Terri wrote her questions about this new-to-me holiday.
1. Who is your favorite "Joe/Jo" and what can you tell us about him or her?
Our #1 Jo happens to be our favorite puppy/house sitter and buddy of mine who gives me peace of mind when we travel.
If you couldn't tell from the pic, Chowdah has a major crush on her.
Next in line are all my Joes from Jersey.
And last, but certainly not least is my favorite cup of Joe every morning.
My first name came from a book just like this one.
My middle name is my Mother's name, Mary.
Sista's first name is Mary.
Sista goes by her middle name, though, which is Stinker.
I may or may not have made that part up.
Our car had a hard life. The guy at our body shop spent more time with our car than with his own family.
We ran it into the ground and it was barely recognizable by the time we turned her in.
Most importantly, she kept us safe.
Btw, I named her after my idol, Oprah.
5. Tell us the name of a fictional character you have never forgotten and why you remember it so well.
I love Anne of Green Gables.
I have watched the Netflix show more times than I care to admit.
We're not going to see much of our kitchen for several days because we are having our hardwood floors refinished due to wear and tear from doggie nails. Chow is going off to camp for a few days and Chili will be my shadow. She will be sleeping with us which will probably be an absolute nightmare.
Things are going be crazy around here so there's a good chance that you won't hear from me until next week.
Knowing Chili, she will talk me into flying to Vegas for the weekend.
I love Anne on Netflix... and do I see in the pic the new season comes out May 12?? Yay!! Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteUgh the process but YEA the end result of refinishing your floors. Hope you and Chili have a great trip.
ReplyDeleteOh, think I would likely fly somewhere during the floor refinishing process. But, as Libby said, the end result will likely be worth it. BTW, your kitchen is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say a cup of joe is my favorite joe! Wow, that was a lot of car driving/riding during the high school years! Your girls owe you for that one! I putting the Netflix Anne on my watchlist. Have a terrific week.
ReplyDeleteOh Joe Gorga....you just cannot look away can you? He is like a train wreck, you just have to stop and stare.lol Of course now I am enjoying the Housewives of NYC who are my favorites. Right up there with the Real Housewives of Cross Stitch on You Tube...Chelsea and Priscilla.
ReplyDeleteAlways annoying when a room is under construction but I am sure it will look nice in the end!
ReplyDeleteOh, the dogs and that kitchen!! Ahhh! Now how could I have forgotten Anne? I keep the PBS version of Anne on my DVR and I have watched the Megan Fellows (sp?) version also more times than I could count. She is my very favorite!
ReplyDeleteI never knew Anne of Green Gables was on Netflix Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in this week!! I always enjoy your answers and usually have a giggle or two!! Both of my sisters are stinkers too! Ha! I don't believe I have ever seen your dogs next to a person and did not realize just how BIG they are!! How great that you have a good dog sitter that they love!! Good luck with the floors! Lots of dust...
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me smile. Enjoy your little break, it is a pain in the butt but the floors always look beautiful. We had our entire downstairs done a few years ago and love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny you mention Anne! My co-worker has been talking about it this week. She is in the middle of watching it. I do not have Netflix. She said I would love it though.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting about your floors! They will look so good when they are done. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

I absolutely love your sense of humor!!! (My daughter had a car she named Gus. Her first car ever. She loved that thing!)
ReplyDeleteI always start my day off with my favorite cup of Joe, can’t live without it! I will be thinking of you during the floor refinishing, ugh!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh the photograph of you and your mother is stunning! Your wedding was right out of Town and Country and I remember that day as if it were yesterday! The Mister is one lucky guy and I’m one lucky girl to know you both!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to greet the day is reading your blog with
a strong cup of Joe, real cream ~ no sugar.
Good luck with that project. I remember doing our first floor refinishing - moving and going nowhere. Not something I care to relive. I sealed off every orifice throughout the house so the dust wouldn't come through (because my OCD self didn't trust the company to do a good enough job of it).
ReplyDeleteThose doggies..love the photo with your dog sitter! Good luck with the floors. I don't look forward to the day we have to have ours done again. Have a great weekend!

My mother's name was Mary and my father's name was Joseph. Out of eight kids, they named no one Jesus...imagine that! I can certainly understand how important it is to have a trusted pet sitter, especially if you travel a lot. We are able to take our doxies with us a lot of the time but then there are always those other times. I simply adore your kitchen...so warm and welcoming. Have a blessed weekend, Katie!
ReplyDeleteSomeone might just get spoiled with all that extra attention.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers and your cutie pie puppy. I watched the Netflix Anne, I'm all caught up until the next installment but I have to say I'm not as much of a fan of it as the old version with Megan Follows. Aw well.
ReplyDeleteI always love a Good Real Housewives joke! I also love that you named your car Oprah!
ReplyDeleteHave a Good weekend!
