Reality Stars & Sista,

Happy almost Friday, y'all! This post should have gone on before the Kelly Corrigan post but I was so excited that I couldn't wait to do the giveaway.  I will announce the winner tomorrow.  So this covers Saturday, when Sista and BIL arrived last weekend.

We met at Alma Nove , which is one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Alma Nove just happens to be owned and managed by a famous family that also coincidentally, is featured on a reality show on A&E.

The Wahlberg boys and their Mama.

Sista was very impressed and a wee bit jealous when she arrived at Alma Nova and she spotted me hangin' with the rich and famous.  Alma Wahlberg, the namesake of this fabulous eatery, was just finished telling me that her son, Mark, never got over me.  Wait a minute...  What am I sayin?  Of course I made this up.  Mark Wahlberg is waaaay too old for me!

I asked the Mister to take this pic on a step ladder because I learned on the Katie  show that you should always have your photo taken from above and to keep your chin down.   Now I have to figure out how to fit a step ladder in my purse.

Biggest shocker is the Mister actually got on the step ladder without even asking why.  You can see the reflection of the ladder in this photo.

I think the higher the step ladder, the better we look.

The Mister prepared a fabulous Mediterranean platter and toasted baguettes to munch on.

Sista watching KTG's incredible acceptance speech on line.

A little birthday present for Sista.

Now she has a million and one scarves instead of just a million!

The Mister and BIL debating whose wife is cuter.

BIL looking like he is going to be a sore loser.

The Mister cannot stop bragging about his bride.

Sista looking very jealous.  BIL looks like he's ready to throw in the towel any minute.

The Mister's fabulous dinner.  The menu included pork loin and summer squash, zucchini, artichokes, and pine nuts tucked away in those cute little bunny ramekins that I bought at Homegoods years ago and never thought I would ever use.

My Ralph Lauren tablecloth and napkins ala Homegoods.

And a special birthday reason for all of us to indulge in dessert.

While Sista and I cleared the table, Gypsy cleaned the dishes.

Gypsy tells me they're done.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

They must be fans of the Katie show too!

  4. I have two "PRE" dishwashers (Lola and Charlie). I always forget to prepare (or hide it from) the guests….I forget that not everyone takes a liken to doggies lickin on their dishes, but my family is totally open to it as your family seems to be. Your house is looking great. Wish I had a walk in closet just for my weekly Homegoods hauls!
