Gift Guide for the Book Lover

I hope that all is well in your world.  We babysat for Miss Lucy for a couple of hours this weekend. It was our first time!  Her parents were attending a crash course on the sacrament of Baptism.

The Mister was at the helm of  Command Central as I was wiling away the minutes memorizing Dr. Spock's book.

If you are unfamiliar with Dr. Spock, you may be too young to read this blog.

Miss Lucy woke up in good spirits.  We gave her a puppy named Puddles, who barks and wags his tail, and she loves it!

A win for the old folks!

It was at this point that Lucy began to tire of the geriatric paparazzi.

She was all smiles when her Mommy and Daddy arrived home!
She gave us a C+ for our babysitting skills and a list of things to work on.

Books make the greatest gifts. I give a lot of thought to matching the person with the perfect read.

Here are some beauties that were released this year.

I would buy this one just for its cover!

I'm a big fan.

I love this writing team.

Holiday books make wonderful hostess gifts and stocking stuffers.

Some newly-released fiction.

One of my faves of 2024.

The Mister loved this one!

Another fave!

If you love family drama, you will love this one.

You don't have to play tennis to love this book.

For the person who appreciates a good memoir.

My absolute favorite!

Amazon

For the Dad, who is always the last on the gift list.

Some newly-released cookbooks.

Recipes with a side of chuckles.

Great gift for the newlyweds,
Even greater if you include a GC to TJ's.

For the friend who appreciates the funny side of the street.

For the uptight person who could use a little whimsy in their life.

I'm going to miss Hoda.

For the person who enjoys journaling.

I bet my #1 would appreciate this digital planner.

I keep track of my calendar the old-fashioned way.

I need to put this on my wishlist.

These attach to your eye phone.
The Mister is so proud of his.

My life story.

Also could be my life story.

  3. Miss Lucy is indeed a cutie pie.
What a great list of books. Not sure about The Pasta Queen though, doesn't look like she eats it.

  4. Thank you for including my book, We Don’t Push in Fairhope! It has sold out in our local bookstores, so I’m glad you included the Amazon link. I toured a show-house last week and they had the Gray Malin book on a table as a prop and I almost pulled up a chair to finish flipping through it. I love his work! Your book themed gifts are charming. - Thanks Katie - cheers to you!

  6. Sis! Thank you. I'm honored Never, Never, Hardly Ever made THE list of suggested books. Francine would be tickled pink, too. And she'd be asking me where you got your gorgeous sweater ...

  8. Books are my fav to give and receive and once again, you've saved me hours and hours of research. Anything by Webb and Gaynor is always a hit and the only cover that could top Audrey in Paris would be Sweet LUCY's picture! Thanks for all of your 'Gift Ideas' posts. KTG
