Did you have a good week? Mine was very busy and a lot of fun. Monday brought a catch-up lunch with an old tennis buddy and MOB. Tuesday, I stayed home and pretended to do housework. On Wednesday, I headed to Dallas for lunch and a little shopping.
One of my favorite stores in the Big D is St. Michael's Woman's Exchange. I could walk around this shop for hours. Not only did I achieve my task of buying a baby gift, but I also met one of my readers.
This is Debra, who has been a loyal reader for 10 years.
My own family can't even claim that!
I then met my buddy, Miss Deb, for a delightful lunch at Bistro 31.
We then walked around The Conservatory, which has a lot of fun things. My coolness factor went up about 10 points just walking around the place.I know you are wondering if I bought those fancy boots.
I'll keep you guessing.
The Mister and I went for dinner at a new Italian restaurant that just opened in the village. Pane Nostro was a wonderful dining experience. The food was delish, and our server, Kristen, was a pure delight.
Today, I've got another lunch with a fun tennis buddy. Tomorrow, we are headed to Dallas to see #1 and AJ's love nest and then take them out for a celebrate me home lunch.
Does this beautiful home look familiar? I've shown it on the blog several times over the years. It's Sista's charming antique home. She decided to put it on the market. It is in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and if you are interested in buying it, here is the listing.
Talk about California dreamin' ... take a tour of this stunning home located outside Los Angeles.
Want to see the house that hosted Ben and JlLo's 12th wedding?
Do you enjoy a good crime show?
Here is a list of what is coming out this month.
Are you watching The Empress?
Here is the real history behind the show.
Does this big purple guy look familiar?
Barney was a major player in our home at one time. Our #1 loved him more than her own parents. We took her to meet him once and waited almost 2 hours in line. When we finally got to the head of the line, our little groupie let out an earsplitting wail that even made Barney lose his color.
#1... don't watch it.
Speaking of dysfunctional...
Are you as addicted to Succession as I am?
Do you live in NYC?
Are you or someone you know looking for love?
#2... are you listening?
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I am a self-confessed Kennedyphile. This article will spill the beans on what's fact or fiction.
By the way, I just downloaded this book.
Great reviews so far.

Are you a Trader Joe's Shopper? Do you know what the bells mean? #2 - you're disqualified because you used to work there.

Are you thinking about redoing your kitchen?
This is my buy of the week. I found this darling book at Homegoods. It was in perfect shape because it was wrapped in cellophane.
You know I love a pop of orange.
I knew it would look great on my coffee table.
It is filled with the most darling illustrations.
I ordered a few from Amazon for hostess gifts. It's not easy holding down pages while taking the pic.
I don't know who is attached to that old hand.
I bought these plates last year and love them.
I could use one of these in my laundry room.
I have a few of these mats and love them.
I'm big on these sweater/ponchos, especially if I am headed to an all-you-can-eat buffet.

DeleteKatie, I cannot get enough of your wit and charm!!! Our #1 loved Barney too so I'll be sure not to share the dark side with him. I was so happy to see that list of new crime shows - I burn through them like there's no tomorrow. I am dying to watch A Friend of the Family!

Why aren't you at BravoCon? :)
ReplyDeleteThe Mister wouldn't let me go. He's afraid that I will run off with Andy C!
DeleteI need more lunches out and a nice long nap. We have had a busy summer and fall and it feels like a long time since I caught up with the blog world. I'm afraid I'm going to have to check out the Barney documentary. He was a favorite here way back when but I'm not surprised there's a dark side.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that bathroom looks like it is as big as my whole house!! Beautiful homes, amazing food, and fun books & clothing! Always a treat to visit here, Katie!! xo
