Did you have a good week? As I mentioned in my last post, our #1 stayed with us for a few days. It was fun to have her back in the nest.
I am so excited that Fall begins next week. It's my favorite time of the year in Texas.
The Mister prepared Salmon one night, which is our #1's fave. We have been eating every meal out on the patio.
We took #1 to our village wine bar one night. Unfortunately, she still was under a no-photos umbrella. Lucky for you, we were not.
I want to take a minute to talk about comments. Since I've been back, I've noticed that a lot of your comments are coming up under anonymous. I don't know why this platform has changed. Anyway, feel free to leave your name at the end of your comment if you wish. I love to hear from you.
Take a tour of this iconic home on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
This awe-inspiring home was designed by Susan Bozeman.
They say that no man is an island. But you could be if you bought this intriguing home on the coast of Connecticut. Sure, it may need a tad of TLC but how 'bout that view?
I wonder if a case of this is included.
Are you thinking of doing some traveling in the future?
FYI... I've got my own take on retirement coming your way soon.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a church?Yeah, me neither, but give it a read anyway.
Is getting organized on your Fall bucket list?
I think the best part of Fall is savoring a delicious soup with a hunk of warm bread. If you are looking to refresh your soup recipe collection, click here for 30 yummy recipes.
Have you heard about the new trend in cocktails? I'm not sure I'm so fond of it.
Have you ever wondered what Doc Martin's house really looks like inside?
One of my favorite shows is coming back!

Just when I thought that I was finished with the teen years, this pops up.

I love my cardigans!
Lots of great colors.
I bought this lightweight fleece tunic last year in three colors.
It is perfect for Texas weather.
Big sale!
I ordered this coverup for a little getaway this Fall.
A woman can never be too rich, too skinny, or own too many navy blazers.
Linking up with:
I hope someone checked on the woman who is in the picture between you and your husband at your village wine bar…..LOL
ReplyDeleteThat table sat my old tennis buddies!
DeleteYou are too funny….love your blog!
DeleteI hope they continue to have a male James Bond, I just don’t see a woman playing it. (Although it can’t be Dan Stevens- he’ll always be Mr. Downton). -Niki
ReplyDeleteI agree... I'm partial to the guy who was the first minister in Granchester.
DeleteWonderful blog…that Maryland house! ❤️ (Barbara in NC)
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara... Hope you're having a good weekend.
DeleteHappy your back! Suzanne in NY
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne... hope that you're having a good weekend.
DeleteThe reason comments are coming up as anonymous is that if you don’t enter with Facebook or Google (which I don’t have) the only other option is anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy that the comments work.
DeleteAlways fun Katie, and I am going back to explore more!! Wishing you a blessed weekend and week ahead! Hope I'm not coming up as anonymous!! This is Terri D.
ReplyDeleteI was anonymous for a while, but I am back! I’m jealous you are back to porch sitting. September in FL is still sizzling, but we just need to make it a few more weeks to mid October 😀
ReplyDeleteErica killed the vibe of Kyle’s Aspen house! 😂 Cindy Z
ReplyDeleteI agree... Now Kyle has to sell it! Great minds think alike, Cindy.
DeleteI thought your comment about savoring a bowl of soup with a hunk was pretty funny. Then I realized you were referring to a hunk of bread! Oh well…

I love your blog and everything you post. Welcome back!!! Marian
ReplyDeleteThank you Marian. Hope that you are enjoying your weekend.
DeleteYeah, blogger changed something and so many of my commenters are now listed as Antonymous too and it's so hard since I used to click on each person who commented and follow a link back to their blog (whenever I could!). I like to try and read those of anyone who leaves a comment on mine.
ReplyDeleteThat house in CT looks so neat but I'd hate to be on that rock during any sort of storm (winter or otherwise!).
I'm having the same issue with my comments. Luckily, some are starting to sign their names. The salmon looks so delicious, and how wonderful that you got to have your daughter back in the nest. I'm all too familiar with those "photo bans" - ha, ha! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie, I always enjoy your Friday Files! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteJenna

When I saw the pic of you and the Mister having wine with #1, I thought...aww, they look so happy. Then I saw the comment about the woman (your tennis bud) behind you and I can't stop laughing!

That island house is amazing! You're right about needing a little TLC but I would spend all my time on the porch!
ReplyDeleteSo great to have you back in blogland! So many great ideas and pretty inspiration. You and I definitely have the same taste in decor. Yes, I've had random problems with commenting as well. I notice on some sites, if it asks me to put in my website, then my comment doesn't show up. Strange. Anyway, have a great week!
