That's Entertainment

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. Ours was a lot of fun.  Friday night, we hosted a dinner party for some old friends.

Fig and burrata crostini
With Basil, EVOO, and balsamic drizzle

Peach and halloumi crostini
With smoked duck and hot honey, chili threads

Summer Gazpacho
Gulf Shrimp skewer

Unfortunately,  I was too busy chatting it up and sipping my vino with our guests to take pics of the entree and dessert. Take my word for it, they were both delicious.
About two pounds worth of deliciousness.

Saturday, we met The Adorables at R&D Kitchen for another fabulous lunch.  While we were noshing and catching up, the new Dallasites were en route to our house.

The Mister served filet and these yummy veggies.

My #1 was not ready for Primetime and allowed no photos.  However, her charming husband and Chowdah were all smiles.

The moving truck arrived yesterday.  All went well.  AJ traveled out of town on business while our #1 will be gracing us with her presence until Thursday.

Here is a list of what kept us entertained over the Summer months.  I have included a link to the trailer so that you can decide what appeals to you.

Cute show starring one of my favorites, Molly Shannon.

Trailer

Very good docudrama.

We are big fans of the Below Deck franchise.
I really enjoyed Down Under

It may have had something to do with this guy.

Another docudrama recounts the fascinating story behind We Work.

This show never fails to make me smile.

Quite enjoyable!

This is the story of a famous designer who moonlights as a drag queen.

Kept us on the edge of our seats.

Another nail biter!

Sappy at times but so am I.

Love following this darling family on their reno journey.

Maya Rudolph can do no wrong in my book and she definitely shined throughout this series chock full of loveable characters.

Pretty good mystery.
Remember her from Ray Donovan?

The dream team!
Oh, how I love this show.

If you like prison shows, this one is good.
Be prepared for some blood and guts.

I wish that I was in this family of sassy sisters.
Did you know that Bono's daughter is in this?
She's the one in the middle.

If you liked the movie Misery, you are going to love this.

Pretty good show.
Rob Lowe doesn't hurt the eyes.

Another Australian show that is light and uplifting.

Another mystery with amiable characters.

What are you watching?
Any recommendations for me?

  1. We absolutely loved Dr. Death. The podcast is probably even better. Did you hear about the doctor in Dallas who was just caught killing patients with insulin in their iv's? We are kind of in a viewing slump right now. Just watching the Patient and lots of football! Thanks for all the suggestions.

  14. I'd recommend Borgen on Netflix. It's a Danish political drama which sounds a bit dry, but is so good! The first three seasons were made 10-12 years ago, while the fourth season (the weakest in my opinion) arrived recently. It took me a while to get used to the dubbing, but subtitles are available if you'd prefer those. Great acting and interesting plots throughout!
