Hot Topic Wednesday

This is going to be a short post.  The reason for its length is that I somehow lost my sanity and signed up for a "boot camp" that started this week.

Today was my second day of this inhumane torture.  The only part of my body that is not in extreme pain is my ring finger on my left hand - and the only reason there is no pain is that it is numb.  I am typing this with the only beloved digit that has any movement left.

As you will see, my comments will not be as "perky" as in the past, due to the fact my Drill Sargent trainer, Carrie, has beat the ever loving vanilla sunshine out of me.

So, here is my take on the current events.

Hellooo, Jury????  Did it really take you 4 days to figure out this fruit loop was guilty???
Lifetime Channel ... this girl is a gift to you.
Cast Lindsay Lohan - she'll be free in about 6 months.

Helloooo Andy Cohen??? This guy needs a reality show ... pronto!  This character kept me mesmerized for 30 minutes while he was being interviewed by my boyfriend, Anderson Cooper.

Yes, Reese, I do know who you are and I'm not impressed. No matter how many times you say you're sorry.

Matt... you can sing and dance your way through every talk show in town and I am still not going to forgive you for the way you treated Ann.  One of my first posts detailed my feelings of this chain of events.  Good bye Today... Hello GMA

Wow... that felt good to get off my sore chest!  Hope y'all have a great day!  I'll be back to my "old self" in 6 weeks!
I hope!!

  1. I agree with everything you said. Sweet Brown (do you remember her?) was the bartender on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" last night.

  2. I cannot stop laughing! I spent way more time than necessary watching the interview with the "neighbor"...Andy...I about died when he said, "she's like young...what would she want with him?" or something to that effect! LOL

  3. I could give two hoots about Matt Lauer and the Today gang. I watch a local morning news program. I am not a GMA fan either.

  4. Amen! Maybe a hot bath and a glass of wine will alleviate your pain.

  5. Ditto!

I'm impressed that you signed up for the class AND actually attended! :)

Go with the hot bath and wine suggestion ... well deserved my friend.

  6. I can always count on you to give me a good daily laugh..you must make these kinds of posts a weekly thing, LOVE them! I was out the whole day/night so didnt' know she was found guilty...woo hoo. Finally justice is served. You crack me up but are so right on the money. I CANNOT STAND Matt after how he treated adorable sweet Ann...I mean seriously it was disgusting. He is his own biggest fan, this was fun!!!!!

Take a hot bath, and keep channeling those smaller sizes you will be sliding into, in no time flat!!!!!

  7. Thank you for mentioning Mr. Ramsey from Cleveland. Granted his is quite amimated, yet it was his 'not minding his own business' that saved these girls. I live in a suberb of Cleveland, and with our difficult economy and the cut backs made, due to these problems, the police force has been effected. There are so many untrue rumors about this situation that have made national TV, I am saddened that everyone can't wait until the facts are confimed. It is an unbelievable and horrible situation, and Mr. Ramsey(a dishwasher at an upscale resturant) became the man who told the story with heart and was just himself. Everyone here is doing the best that they can....thank you for seeing him as special. He is....we should all take a lesson from him. Thanks Katie, for letting me get that off my chest, now Kathie Lee and Hoda don't have to hear from me! And I can't stand Matt Lauer, either.

    Warmly, Kathleen

  8. I love this post! I am super proud of you for boot camp. I am afraid to try it, but I do know many ladies who have toned and shaped up pronto with it. Mr. Ramsey does indeed need a reality show....speaking of, Andy Cohen is my love. Read his book if you are looking for a quick, entertaining summer page turner....I read it in less than 2 days on the beach last June. Also, I couldn't agree more with Reese or Matt. Generally, so disappointed with both situations!!!

  9. Ha! I too have started a boot camp and I am so sore.. they so pain/no gain, right?

This is hilarious .. way to cut to the chase. It's always interesting what the media shows us. So glad that fruit loop was found guilty!

  10. You are soooo brave to signing up for a bootcamp! Completely agree with all your opinions. One of my favorite parts of the Bostom manhunt was watching Matt Lauer stuck in a cow barn in West knowing he was missing out on the big story! I love George on GMA now.

  11. I'd like to rant a bit about the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch-have you read the comments about not selling any women's sizes large than a 10 in pants and no L or XL. GMA had a segment and a good bit popping up on FB. A&F's market is for the pretty, popular and cool. Really??? Fire the guy for not having the sense to kept these marketing ploys quiet at the very least.
