The Friday Files

 Hello, dear friends.

I hope that you had a good week.

I am happy to report that all is well around here.

Our new recliners finally arrived from Calico Corners.

We waited 7 months, but they were worth the wait.

I sold our temporary Amazon chairs within an hour of posting on Nextdoor.

Our side table arrived as well.

Somebody got her hair cut and was full of herself.

Take a look at this gorgeous French villa in California.

Here is a peek at an 83-year-old's bachelor pad in Washington, DC.

This gorgeous Dallas home recently went through a makeover.

And yes, it is for sale.

Last but not least, here is my mini rundown on Oscarware.

Love it; so classic.
Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.
The only thing she is missing is a smile.

Stunning.
Loved her dress.
I hope that puff around her waist is filled with sandwiches because she looks like she could use one.

Classic.
She never misses a beat.

I loved this one too.
Did anyone notice there was a lot of red?

Maggie didn't win an Oscar.
However, she did win the award for most likely to be asked to strip down for the metal detector.

Oh pleeeeeeeeeze!!!!
I wish Will slapped him.

He should take a page from Cary's playbook.

Oh boy, there seems to be a theme here.

Tracee did not win an Oscar either.
However, she was awarded a consolation prize.
It was a full-length mirror.

Julia Vernon did not win an Oscar either.

However, she did manage to smuggle the centerpiece out of the building.

  7. Hi Katie

I always enjoy your Friday files. Totally agree with your dress assessment from the Oscars. I forgot to watch. I wish I could either wear or learn to wear those pretty dresses!

  8. Your blue & white (and green) is classic and preppy. I love it all. Millie looks adorbs in her recent cut. Jennifer and Zoe looked fabulous from the photos I saw (I did not watch the dumpster fire), true that Zoe looked like Audrey, and Jennifer (her dress anyway) looked like Pretty Woman. :) Happy April, and I hope your weekend is springy. We had 80° yesterday and 30° today....rain and graupel!

  12. Fun stuff Katie! Millie looks so cute with her new hair cut! It was either ridiculous poofy dresses or seeing too many boobs at the Oscars! And yes, please give Tracee a full length mirror!

  15. Love the new recliners! I swear waiting on furniture and home remodeling is akin to pregnancy and birthing; it's hell when you're going through it and then once it's over you forget the angst and it's all worth it.
Your commentary about the Oscars has me laughing out loud this morning!
