Hello, dear friends. TGIF! I hope that you all had a good week. All is well in Emptynesterville.
Today is all about dresses for the Spring. I wear a lot of dresses when the weather gets warm because they are so easy. It's one and done.

I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

I wear many more dresses in the spring and summer as well. In fact I recently purchased about 20 because my mom and I are going to Charleston in a week and I will be taking all the dresses, LOL! These are all so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSummer dress weather is coming to New England... eventually. I'm waiting for the small floral prints fad to pass. J. McLaughlin has great clothes. Have an enjoyable weekend, Katie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all of these, Katie! It's so strange that the "prairie" look with the tiered skirts are the trend that made the come back. I remember prairie skirts back in the 80's. Not sure I love them again. Haha. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteTOO SHORT FOR ME!
ReplyDeleteDID YOU SEE I'm SELLING CAFTANS AND TUNICS!
These are all so cute! But I am just awful at actually wearing a dress; I seem to collect them and never wear them.
ReplyDeleteI wear only dresses to work in the summer. So easy. If I find one I like, I buy it in a bunch of colors.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE dresses but have such difficulty finding one that meets all my criteria. I want longer length and 3/4 sleeves. There's not many to have but I do see a couple on here that just might work. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely dresses...I love dresses but the current tiered/smocked/puffy sleeve styles are not for me. Love Lily but many are way too short (unless its a maxi and I am only 5"6 but want at least my knees covered.
ReplyDeleteLoveliest dress I have ever seen for a warm weather soiree is your MOB dress! You rocked it Katie! My favorite dress here is your J McLaughlin shift in orange and blue. Never mind that it's snowing here in Chi town as I write...I'm ready for summer now.
ReplyDeleteI love dresses and wear them all of the time! I ordered the last dress (Talbots) in the blue and white stripe. I can't wait until it comes!
ReplyDeleteThese dresses would look divine on your cute petite body, but my old wrinkled one requires much more fabric.
ReplyDeleteChuckling at Libby's comment above. I have to agree, but I am going to look at the link for a couple of them. Thanks, Katie!! Happy weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see what you are up to. I love dresses and wear them all summer long---even camping...yes ma'am, I do!
ReplyDeleteI took a chance and ordered a dress that popped up in my IG feed. I thought...hmmmm...well, I couldn't be more delighted. It was better in person than online and the fabric is wonderful. I love a nice surprise. xo Diana
Love every single one. Wish I could still rock a mini ... that ship has sailed. Thank goodness for great midi options. Love. xo
