Hello, dear friends. I must be honest with you. I got up extra early to finish this post because I thought it was Friday. I desperately need to get back into a routine.
My happy retiree has decided to retire from retirement and reenter the workforce.
The Mister is staying in the hospitality biz and is very excited about the opportunity.
And guess when he starts?
On Monday, which happens to be closing day.
I swear he did it purposely.
All I can say is that I am glad I have had plenty of experience taking the lead on the unpacking experience. I usually take my time and thoughtfully place all of my things around the house.
By the time I get to the Mister's boxes, I am usually too tired to deal with it so I just throw most of the stuff out and tell him that it got lost in transit.
Fiona Davis never disappoints.
Lots of twists and turns.
I will definitely read more of the author's books.
I enjoyed this novel's refreshing plotline.
Almost finished with this thriller.
No question about it, it's keeping me guessing.
Peter Swanson is one of my favorite authors.
I just started this - so far so good.
This comes out on April 6th.
I downloaded the Audible and can't wait to start it.
I just wish Penn was reading it.
"They found the bodies on a Tuesday."
So begins this twisty and breathtaking novel.
I haven't started it yet, and I'm already hooked.
A gripping mystery about a woman who thinks she’s found the love of her life - until he disappears.
This sounds like a playbook of my dating life before I snagged met the Mister.
Three mothers facing impossible choices learn what makes a family, and discover just how far they’ll go to protect the ones they love.
The tale of a love triangle that unfolds in the heart of Rome...
Another favorite author of mine.
I enjoyed this show a lot more than I thought I would.
By the end, I was totally in love with Ted Lasso.
This show was made about 20 years ago.
If you are looking for a pick-me-up I highly recommend this one.
The Mister liked this movie a lot more than I did.
This is my favorite medical show of all time.
I watch the RH shows to validate that I'm not that crazy after all.
The Mister would disagree.
This show is wickedly funny.
However, it includes several off-color scenes.
If you are easily offended this show is not for you.
How cute is this skirt?

I wish you all a wonderful Easter and a happy Passover.
Until next time...

Congrats to the Mister ... timing is everything and he seems to excel in this area. My Mister has a knack for being out of town for every move we've made. His luck ran out last year as we moved into Snowberry and almost immediately went into lock down. Which meant, while I managed the move, he was here for the unpacking. He'll never make that mistake again. Have a lovely Easter weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteI love New Amsterdam and loved McLeod's Daughters until all the people started changing. Had to just stop watching after 8 seasons, I think. Had to chuckle at The Mister started his new job at the same time you will be moving into the new house. Actually, there is some benefit to just doing it yourself... keep us posted!! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat finds - I love that Talbots skirt! Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

When I saw you had "family news" on your insta stories, I immediately headed over because I was sure you were announcing you were about to have a grandbaby!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the update, sure hope the mister wasn’t tired of being bossed around!? Reading The Address, adored the show Catastrophe and just ordered the striped dress from Amazon. Will check out Ted Lasso and New Amsterdam
ReplyDeleteI miss watching the Real Housewives!! We went away in January and while at the hotel I had that on. So much drama, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDarling clothes. I have be en listening to audio books lately, so thanks for the pointers.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter 🐣 my sweet friend.
Hugs,
Linda
I used to LOVE New Amsterdam but the last couple of episodes have just been a bit too over the top for me. Sounds like you've found some really great books! Best of luck with the closing and moving.... I think I employed that same strategy when we unpacked 18 years ago! (though most of my husband's things are still in boxes in the basement so I didn't "lose" them we just had nowhere left to put anything-- or so I told him).
ReplyDeleteI'd kill him! But at least you won't have a supervisor for the project of organizing. Love that JCrew dress! Have a great Easter. Good luck on the walk through and closing for no hiccups.
ReplyDeletePS thought I better clarify.....jk on the kill. And the tailored, stretch linen JCrew.
DeleteMe too! I thought there was different family news! I think we would be headed to divorce court if we had to share a 2 bedroom apartment. After a year of husband working remote I am starting to notice traits ;0).
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Katie. My youngest flies home today for weekend. Elliott is going to airport with us this afternoon. On a side note my Bloglovin feed is not updating. Would love it if in the interim you signed up for my newsletter at the top of my home page. I hired 2 IT guys only to tell me it's Bloglovin. All this time when I saw the message "has not published recently" I wondered what happened. Now I know. I told my IT guy I know this is a first world problem but this little blog is my therapy. ! xo layra
PS I got those two sweaters from Schein you had on your post a few weeks ago. I really like them. The green is more Christmas green, but I love them! Thanks!
ReplyDeletelove the doggie picture today!! My boss loves Ted Lasso so I watched the trailer - oh my goodness. I may have to get apple tv just to watch that series!!
ReplyDeleteHave you watched Seaside Hotel? Endearing and quirky characters set at a beachside hotel in Denmark. The food, period clothing and Scandinavian decor are beautiful. It has subtitles. After watching 7 seasons I am almost fluent in Danish. 🤣
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Happy Easter! Husbands............can't live with them and can't live without them!! I think they all read the same book on how to be a husband!! LOL! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteDid you see that Tom Colicchio is going to the chef on the next season of Below Deck? I'm not sure which version but I can see him being pals with Captain Lee!
