The Friday Files

Hello, dear friends.  I hope that you had a productive week.  On Wednesday evening, I attended another Supper With The Authors sponsored by my favorite bookstore, Buttonwood Books and Toys. It's always a guaranteed good time and the attendees are lovely ladies.  I'll fill you in on the details next week.

Last night when I took the dogs out, I felt a twinge in my throat.  You know the twinge - the one that sounds the warning that you are in for a Mother of a cold.  I'm taking my Zicam and gargling with hydrogen peroxide every four hours and hoping for the best.

Take a gander at this gorgeous Vermont farmhouse.
The kitchen is to.die.for.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Feel free to contact me through comments and email. I love to hear from my readers!

  1. Zicam, which you are already doing. Take care!

  2. I've missed your Friday files and I'm glad you are back. Thanks for the link especially to the book thing. (Eager to hear about lunch with the authors, too!). I'm in the middle of a series of three book-related posts. I love 'em! Apparently the readers are having fun with them because the comments are fun!

  3. Green tea, rest, rest and more rest and a hot shower to steam your sinuses. Those bacon oatmeal cookies are going on the list. I love the apps, thank you. Wunderlist and Duolingo are my favs.

I hope Drs. Chow and Chili are taking good care of you.

  4. I caught a couple of episodes of Press and liked it. I need to go back and start at the beginning. I hope you're feeling better soon!

  5. Love all the blue. And the apps have me hungry. Hope you feel better!

  6. I've never heard of the Press. Thanks for the recommendation!

  7. This was so fun! Those houses were spectacular! And the food, and the sleeping tips... a great post! (Sorry, I don't have any help for the cold.) I hope you're feeling better soon!

  8. Oh I hate it when I feel that tickle in my throat. Ziacam really shortened the the last cold I had.
Hope it is working for you. If it decides to stay ...People rave about Claritin D . .
Great post for someone under the weather.. Funny I had saved that picture of the light blue...and white sitting area..and then see it on your post! Have to admit I already have that kitchen, and oh those cookies look delicious.Wish I had a stack right now. It is 3am and I can’t sleep. Pamper yourself this weekend and get well. Janey

  9. Another great collection of fun posts Katie! Thanks for finding so much good stuff for us! ❤️ Hope you feel better!

  10. I have had good outcomes taking 50 mg of zinc every 12 hours. Start taking zinc the moment you feel the first cold symptom and continue until you’re positive you have beat the virus. You will either avoid the cold completely, or have a mild, short lasting one.
