It also comes in petite.

Looking at all of these coats reminds me of shopping with my mom years ago. We would put on the most outlandish coats we could find and model them for each other :) so much fun!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your post! I’m in the market for a new cost this year. Lots of great options.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend with your daughters. Look forward to hearing the good news.
Love your coat selection! Please tell us which ones you decide to buy😀 Looking forward to hearing your news!
ReplyDeleteChowdah looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the happy coat...love that color and the camel dress coat.
ReplyDeleteYou're kidding me: that last Amazon coat was a popular seller? It doesn't even look good on the model. Anyway, I like the Gap jacket, but the first Nordstrom jacket with short sleeves would drive me crazy. Is that a trend? Hope not. Anyway, I used to have a beautiful long wool Navy double breasted pea coat. It was a classic style. It lived with me for years before I finally gave it away because I discovered I was allergic to wool. I know. It's that selfish streak. Happy coat shopping!
ReplyDeleteI think you found lots of great choices. I really like the Talbots Italian wool coat near the end of the post. And after all, they are having a great sale this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about your weekend. I just love coats, and really enjoyed wearing them while we were in England. Sadly, I only need a light coat a few times a year here in Houston!
ReplyDeleteI simply adore jackets...a little more than coats. I was well prepared when moving to Maine...however, Texas girls do not need heavy coats....thank goodness! I go for classic, traditional and faux fur! Thank you for the reminder of Michael Payne..just adored him!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that happy coat! Since we only have about 3-4 days to actually need a coat here in Alabama (LOL) I'm always jealous of those that buy coats for the season and get good use out of them. I do have a few jackets that double as a coat when the need arises along with my trusty leather jacket that I love. Years ago my mama was a wonderful seamstress and loved to sew. She made herself a beautiful cape that she dubbed her "coat of many colors" and your post made me think of that cape. She made me a gorgeous red wool cape that I wore for years....I wish I had inherited her love of sewing but all I got was a love for shopping (LOL)!
ReplyDeleteHopefully no new coat for me this year. But you never know... I've been eyeing one on Land's End...
ReplyDeleteI could never buy a coat without trying it on first!! I admire ones who can buy clothes online and they FIT perfectly! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteKatie, my mom also called them car coats. You have a lot of options, the happy coat is just beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteIs a flattering puffer a real thing? I have way too many coats. I'm hoping not to pull too many out of the closet now that I live in Atlanta. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteMy favorite JCrew model ever. The leopard one is my fav. Soooo happy you linked this up with The Style Six! Have the BEST time with your sweet babes!
ReplyDeleteI need another coat like I need another hole in my head but I sure do like that fuzzy one and am about to go check it out. BTW, ordered some of the sheets you recommended off Amazon and am very pleased. We gals have to stick together on this shopping business. :o))
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for coats, and have three of the ones you have shown here. Have fun with your loves!
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many coats, especially when you live in New England... and you previewed quite a few terrific options. I've never looked at clothes on Amazon, but maybe I should. Enjoy anther beautiful weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the J Crew wool number. I have had a similar coat for over 10 years. Granted I normally only wear it a couple times of year here in CA but I still love it! Happy Shopping!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that Amazon number is perfect for your boxing gloves, Sis. One in each zippered pouch. You could tuck the hand wraps into the pockets above, tug down on those generous pulls and you're all set. Does it come in mustard? If so, I'd get both.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute coats! I think I have more coats today than I ever have! Rain, dressy, leather... Beth on the other hand, it's been so hard to find a coat that fits her. Due to having Down Syndrome her shoulders are small, her waist is big, her arms are very short. Each year we try a different style but we just haven't found the perfect fitting coat yet. I think when we do, we'll buy it in every color!
ReplyDeleteI went through this a couple of years ago. Wound up with The North Face down in ankle length. J Jill had a nice lighter option in the shorter length and for my Happy Coat I bought a wool Kate Spade bow collar in hot pink. Here in SC we are rather coat averse, and don’t wear long sleeves until we have to, (you will see down here a lot of long down vests with cashmere turtlenecks 😉)but for the short time it does get cold it is REALLY cold and everybody needs a few good options! You have some great options here thanks for posting! Happy shooping!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the happy coat! Even makes me wanna buy a coat and you know us Texans never buy coats!!!
ReplyDeleteDid I just see on IG that there may have been a wedding yesterday?????!!!!!!!!
