I hope this finds you well. I am exhausted. I was at my Supermodel Trophy Wife camp, and it really took a lot out of me.
While I was toiling away at the pool...
the Mister's view looked like this.
Our getaway was the result of the Mister's thirst for knowledge.
For way too little time a few days, the Mister hopped into a golf cart at 8AM and didn't run into my loving arms until after 3PM.
It was paradise!
Btw... the Mister had a ball (pun intended)! A great guy named Ken Green was the pro who taught the Mister and another student. The Mister loved the one-on-one attention and felt that he learned a lot.
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort Golf Club & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The grounds and hotel were beautiful. But the shining stars were the staff members who knew the true meaning of hospitality.
The moment we entered the lobby, an adorable girl named Lucy came up and introduced herself. We chatted a bit, and about 15 seconds into the conversation (it usually doesn't take us that long), we shared that we will be grandparents in March. After check-in, Lucy presented us with
a darling stuffed animal for the baby.
The first evening, we ate at Ponto Lago, one of the on-site restaurants. The food was delish, and our waiter, Udi, treated us like royalty.
We sat in the outdoor bar area the other nights and feasted on wine and apps. The Mister gave me a play-by-play of every stroke and lesson he learned that day.
I took a nap behind my sunglasses.
The resort has two pools - a large pool with a giant waterslide and a smaller one designated for adults.
Which one was my choice?
Yup, you're right!
And I only got kicked off the waterside twice!
I can't believe I didn't think of this before!
I have a quiet day at the pool while the Mister spends the day at daycare golf school!
And the best part is that he wants to come back next year!
The Mister shared every minute of his golf school with Millie. At this moment, he was on day one / the third hour of instruction.
As you can see, Millie was enraptured.
Congratulations on your soon to be grandmother status!
