Preppy Empty Nester

I'm Katie. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my middle-aged years while entangled in the never-ending process of renovating an antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, decorating, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, and my two untrainable, rambunctious pups, Chowdah and Chili.

Hello, I'm Katie

I'm Katie. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020. We relocated to Dallas and have been spending our time searching for our Forever Home. I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, decorating, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my two untrainable, rambunctious pups, Chowdah and Chili. ReplyDeleteI hope you are all well, I am so glad you have the newly weds safely home with you, and hope that your #2 is well too. I am grateful for the blessings of Easter, even more so during this time we all face.
The blossoms, magnolias and spring sunshine are so welcome. I gave up chocolate for Lent, and have enjoyed a whole Easter egg today !!
I liked all your book and TV tips you are so good, and I have one for you to look forward to starting soon in the US. 'An American Aristocrat's guide to Great Estates' a documentary series by Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke. It is really beautiful and she is such a lovely girl, I feel sure you will enjoy if you like history.
Sending much love to you, stay safe
