Welcome to the first Friday Files of 2025.
I hope all is well in your world. We had a visitor yesterday. It's a four-letter word and goes by the name snow, leaving about two inches in its wake.
Millie was not a fan and had to be coaxed, bribed, and threatened to venture out to take care of business.
As you can see, Miss Lucy was thrilled with her new threads. Rumor has it that she was only mildly amused with the white stuff on the ground.
An oldie but a goodie. I continue to be enchanted by this gorgeous Alabama ranch designed by the incomparable Mark D. Sikes.
Beth Webb designed this 1920's home. To see more of this Buckhead beauty, click here.
For all you old house lovers, this 1720 Colonial is for sale in North Branford, Connecticut.
Here are 32 inexpensive, healthy recipes.
Are you headed to Thailand in 2025? You might want to read this article before you go.
Are you a multitasker? Me, not so much. I consider myself more of a multi-sitter. After reading this article, you may want to join me on the dark side.
I ran across this dynamic duo on Instagram. They are the @twinagers and cover book, movie, and TV reviews and deliver an uplifting look at aging. I can also thank them for introducing me to my latest guilty pleasure, Later Daters.
Give these delightful ladies a follow @twinagers.
We enjoyed the first season, and now it's back for the second.
We like this one, too!
We watched the first episode and liked this show a lot.
I'm counting the minutes...
Miss Scarlet has ditched the Duke and is flying solo.
I think that she will do just fine.
Love her or not so much, the Duchess has a new show.
Several colors.
I picked up a pair of these sweater pants at the beginning of the season, and I love them. So warm and comfy.
Lots of colors
50% off Markdowns a Talbots!
In my next life, I want to look like this.
Sephora has a 50% promo, and Sunday Riley's Vitamin C Serum is its item of the day. I have used it in the past and loved the rich texture and light scent.
I use these before I apply my makeup. They prevents pilling, which was a problem. It is 50% off.
New year, new sheets?
There are some good sales going on at my favorite bedding site, Boll & Branch.
That's a great photo of the baby in the snow suit, she looks a lot like WC Fields. No crawling, sitting or playing in that hazmat suit.
ReplyDeleteLove the house tours. We are still buried under 7" of snow - ice - snow, a 3-stage punch from Blair [witch project] last week. My poor boxwoods! Still frozen, and we're expecting 2-4" starting tonight from Cora. Ugh. It feels like the covid lockdown, staying home, cooking, baking, etc. And....we did have covid. Of 32 gathered Christmas Eve in my family, 10 of us got it the week after. I wouldn't even have known it, but my granddaughter tested + and my daughter suggested I test. Symptoms were mild, and that was our first go round with it. Last year I had RSV. I hate January. Too bad my mister's and bff's birthdays are in this month. I'd like for them to reschedule - permanently.
ReplyDeleteStay cozy, be well. Lol, Lucy did not look a bit amused in her snowsuit. J (3) had a blast this year, sledding on her own down their driveway.
I am so envious you can watch television with your husband. I like historical fiction, mystery, and once in a while - fantasy. My husband likes Lonesome Dove, Band of Brothers and mobster movies. Boobs and blood. Once in awhile we can watch a documentary together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Watching!! .....Gray
I binged Later Daters and hope they continue! It was so good! I need to check out the Twinagers!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
xo,
Kellyann
The picture of Lucy's in her snow suit! Absolutely loved the colors and pattern in the Mark Sykes Alabama house. Appreciate the tv recommendations. As soon as football is over, I plan on watching some.
ReplyDeleteLucy is so cute! Do you have any details on the rug she is laying on the snowsuit pic? I love it! Thank you
