Prime Time

Hello, dear friends.  I hope you are having a good week.  We've been treated to some wild thunderstorms the past couple of nights, so needless to say, I am featuring dark shadows under my eyes, which is always a good look.

Over the weekend, we spent a delightful evening at a neighbor's beautiful home on the water.  The hostess is a talented artist and the owner of the greenest thumb in the neighborhood.

We had a nice lunch with our #2 on Sunday.  She was headed to Beantown on business and dropped Chowdah off.

Millie couldn't be happier.  No question about it, she is the alpha, and sweet Chowdah puts up with her antics.

My office is coming along nicely.
The most important furnishing arrived yesterday, Millie's throne.

The last thing that I need to choose is the artwork for my office.
I discovered a wonderful site called Urban Garden Prints.
The most difficult part of the process is deciding what to choose; there are so many gorgeous choices.

Today, I am joining Tanya of The Other Side of the Road for her Prime Purchases link-up.  Stop by and find out what other bloggers are buying from Amazon.

We go through one of these every couple of months.
Millie loves them.
Remind me to buy stock in the company.

A dear friend recommended this cleanser to me.
It has just enough exfoliation.

This is the first time I have bought the tinted formula, and I like it.
It's not too dark.

Has anyone ever made a dip with this salsa?
Twenty years ago, I made it all the time and decided to keep a jar on hand.  Now all I have to do is remember the recipe! If you know it, leave it in the comments.

Allergy season hit me hard this year.

This keeps my lettuce fresh.

Also bought this for my berries.
It works like a charm!

Restacking the new office.

I bought this purse about 3 or 4 years ago.  We were in an elevator in NYC, and a woman asked me if I got it in France. I replied, Oui!  Anyway, this was another casualty ala Millie, so I had to replace it.

A woman can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many readers.

The Mister's Orders

We have had our Orbi system for about ten years.
The Mister decided it was time for a new and improved system.
I'll keep you posted.
It's never pretty when the Mister tackles tech projects.

For his garage.

For the patio.
This one wins the favorite toy of the week award.

I haven't a clue what this stuff is.

Smoker

Can't have a smoker without pellets.

His favorite.

  2. I love that rattan bag of yours, it looks very high end. Raspberry salsa sounds delish - I hope you find the recipe you made and share it. My husband loves raspberries!

    1. Denise... that recipe looks delish but way too complicated for moi. The recipe I'm thinking of has four or five ingredients and you just mix it together and bake. That's more my skillset. Thanks for looking and reading my blog. Have a great week, Denise!!

  4. I need to try that berry container! It looks fantastic! And the dog chew looks great too. Our dog goes through chews so fast!

  5. I adore how your new office is looking! Congratulations on getting so much done in this day and age. It looks SO fresh. Now please ask your amazing husband to share at least one idea for using that Hungarian red pepper paste which I have never seen - I use the pepper all the time so I guess I could just substitute. Love his artistry.

    3. Mine is the same as above - minus the onion but top with cilantro after baking. I'm sure both are delicious!

  9. Wait where are the office pics? What paint color did you go with Katie? I need a garbag can attendant. To this day my husband thinks the trash crew haul our cans back into the garage. If you just need a little purse I found the cutest summer straw purses in the girls department at Nordstrom for 1/4 of the price! They fit a phone, lipstick, and glasses if you angle them in there just right! Straw does not sound right and neither does wicker. What are they called? ha laura the one in Colorado...

  10. That's the recipe I was thinking of. I haven't made it for a long time. It is delicious!!

  11. The red tubes are familiar to me because it is a Hungarian product and I'm Hungarian. It is like a fancy paprika paste boosted with herbs and salt. You can add it to soups, stews, and the famous Hungarian chicken paprikas and gulyas.

  12. Oooh! I need that berry storage container.

  15. We thought about replacing our Orbi but instead replaced our router and it made a big difference. I like the Urban Garden Prints! I use Tatcha cleansing oil at night - it removes ALL my makeup and leaves my skin soft and not dried out - no need to double wash with it - and better for the environment than a wipe. I like the tube of Elta MD moisturizing sunscreen for dry skin - it's not tinted but it's more moisturizing which I need. The name "Digestive Awakening" tea makes me nervous :)
