Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Hello, dear friends.  Happy Friday.  The Mister is taking today off, and we are rolling up our sleeves to get some heavy duty planting done.  There is only one problem that we run into when we partake in this annual activity.  We both want to be the boss.  So wish me luck.

We've hired a mediator which is cheaper than a divorce lawyer.

I put together a Mother's Day wish gift list for you.  If your name is #1 or #2 - pay attention and take notes.

For the Entertaining Mom

Love the colors of this outdoor dishware and tablecloth.

For the Mom who loves to throw parties and gets a kick out of life.

For the Mom who loves Blue & White

Along with lovely porcelain, Tina has other gorgeous home decor items that are guaranteed to put a smile on Mom's face.

I'm Katie. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my middle-aged years while entangled in the never-ending process of renovating an antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, decorating, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, and my two untrainable, rambunctious pups, Chowdah and Chili.

  1. I can't believe it's almost May! I was just thinking about Mother's Day - about what I am going to buy my mother and what kind of hints I am going to give my boys! Love your post...the mom who appreciates trash TV...the exhausted mom. Too funny! Love the purses. I need to add them to my hint list. Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Wish I had a mom, by birth or otherwise, to share these with! Of course, the budget wouldn't allow -- but boy, I'd love to see the smiles!

  6. Great ideas! Personally, I have been waiting for all six seasons of Downton Abbey to come out as a set. That's going on my M-Day & B-Day lists.

  16. I love all of these choice for Mothers day, hopefully my pups will get me something! And I can see a few things for my mom here.

I hope that you have a great day planting, good luck with the Mister, I have the same problem with mine. He thinks his way is better than mine and I believe the opposite. Oh well, we have fun anyway. Love your mediator!

P.S. Let me know when you are back on sugar, I will send you a package of what has been termed "the best brownies" in the world.

  17. You are full of great ideas! Last year I asked for Tory Burch sandals and although I don't usually spend that much on sandals...I love them! My mom is the stay at home and lounge type. What to do...what to do. I've already done lounge wear a thousand times. She does love to read though. :)

    What's on your wish list?
