Hello, dear friends. I hope that you are having a great weekend. We did our usual Winter thing yesterday - shopping, lunch, and a movie. More about that in this week's Friday Files.
As many of you know, when the Mister and I moved to the Northeast, it was the first time in about 15 years that we have been exposed to snow and bitter temps. Naturally, we had given away all of our winter equipment and accessories years before.
Before we knew it, we were stocking up on everything from shovels to snowblowers. I would have much rather put the moolah towards body glitter and fake tattoos - my two standard necessities for the warm weather.
This post is all about winter. I found some unique items available to aid in dealing with the snow and cold.

If you live in a warm climate and don't have to worry about the complexities of the Winter, I have two words for you: I'm jealous.
You will be the talk of the 'hood with this Snow Wolf. It looks kind of funny, but you'll get the last laugh while you are sitting fireside, hot cocoa in hand, watching your neighbors struggle with shovels after your driveway has been shoveled for hours. This one has got great reviews.
Here's a heated jacket to keep you warm while you're showing off in front of your neighbors with your new Snow Wolf.
This hand-held, battery operated spreader does the job with melt as well as seed. Great review and a good price. I think I would have a lot more fun spreading the seed than I would the melt.
There's nothing worse that sticking your warm foot into a cold, wet boot. Fear not, this boot dryer is here. Take my word for it, beats using a hair dryer any day.
A heated windshield ice scraper will be your life saver some day. Save those arm muscles for lifting a glass of wine and not scraping ice off of your windshield.
A 13-in-1 car emergency kit.
Note to self: buy 2 for the girls for Valentine's Day.
I'm sure they'll appreciate one of these a lot more than a Sephora gift certificate.
I can almost feel the eye-roll from Texas and NC right now.
A Heated Lotion Dispenser sounds like pure luxury on this cold winter morning.
You will be the envy of all your coworkers in the cafeteria when they see you plug this baby in and in a matter of minutes you are enjoying a nice warm meal. To add fuel to the fire - play soft music on your phone and eat by candlelight.
For the coworker who is always turning up the heat...
A hot looking space heater
This warming blanket/shawl should do the trick quieting that cranky coworker.
If that doesn't work, there is always a seat warmer.
Amazon
The finishing touch... a heated mouse.
This is the perfect gift for the person that will sacrifice warmth for a nice juicy steak.
The Mister loves these things. He keeps them in the car for the days that he takes the train.
This is a hand warmer that is rechargeable as well as temperature controlled.
Note to self: Valentine's Day gift for the Mister.
I swear by Zicam. The minute I feel that twitch in the back of my throat or nose that warns me of a cold coming on, I spray my throat and keep it up every few hours. If it doesn't completely get rid of the oncoming cold, it definitely lessens the severity of it.
Note to self: another Valentine's gift for the girls.
They are going to be thrilled.
Be a trend setter.
You'll thank me later.
Note to self: Valentine's gift for my girls.
I smell a Mother of the Year Award in the works.
Stay warm and enjoy your Sunday.
Until next time...
