That's Entertainment!

I hope this finds you well.  We are expecting temps in the 80s today.  Yesterday I was delighted to see a few daffodils and some pear trees blooming on my walk.

Friday, we dropped off Chowdah at #2's pad.

We had lunch at Sadelles's.

I had my usual delicious salmon salad.

I never thought I would see the day when the Mister couldn't finish a sandwich.  Friday was the day that the Mister surrendered, and the Triple Decker was declared the winner.

Saturday, we met the Adorables for lunch at Mesero.  We always have a great time together.  By the way, the shrimp ceviche is out of this world!

The Misters are each other's captive audience.   At last, they could talk freely and ad nauseum about such fascinating topics as insulation, A/C units, furnaces, internet carriers, modems, security systems, and cars, just to name a few.  Mrs. A and I exchanged smiles, knowing that the more they traded stories, the less we had to hear them.

Today I am sharing what has kept us entertained lately.

We loved this series about the making of The Godfather movie.  If you remember Studio 54 or Love Story, this show is for you!

Jason Segel is a delight in this show.
Harrison Ford is his usual cranky self.

One of my favorite books of all time.  I am also enjoying the series.

You can choose your friends but not your family.
Oh, how I adore quirky characters, and this darling show has plenty of them!

We are watching the second season of this light, fun detective series and enjoying it.

America's favorite psychopath is back and spreading his cheer to London.

If you like Real Housewives, you will enjoy a peek into Mauricio's real estate office chock full of whiney daughters.

The second season was not as good as the first.
At times I felt that I was watching a teenage soap opera.

Perfection!
We finished the last episode last night.  The Mister kept asking me why I was crying.  If there were more shows like this one, the world would be a better place.

Am I the only one who wants to see a love connection between these two?

My favorite narcissist, whose most cherished accessory is his gigantic ego, is back with a vengeance.

I posted this on Instagram, and someone commented this one is weird.  She hit it on the head.  But it is also based on a fascinating true story.

This one reminds me of Murder In The Building.

Fasten your seatbelts.
This one has a twist that will give you whiplash.

Quirky characters, attractive leads, and wine.

What else could a girl ask for?

I love watching fictionalized true crime.
There has already been an adaptation of this murder case done by another network.

America's favorite dysfunctional family is back in March.

This looks like a cute movie.

Another Watergate series?

I couldn't get into the book, but I look forward to watching this series.

  8. I love All Creatures Great and Small. The final episode of Season 3 was Sunday night. It makes me cry as well-but a good cry. I don't want this series to end! And yes, I would like Siegfried and Mrs. Hall to unite. He's such a goofus in the love department!! In the books, James goes off to war, as well, but gets leave when Helen has their first child. Wonder if they will do that in Season 4?

  9. I’ve seen most and completely agree with you on most! Not a fan of YOU; but Your Honor grabbed me by the throat! Did you enjoy Gaslight?

  11. Thanks for your recommendations, Katie. I find most shows boring, trite, crude & immature, so I really look forward to many of your suggestions! I too love All Creatures Great & Small. So beautifully done, and exactly what we need right now... it's calming and completely charming. I'm going to start over with Season 1, Episode 1, since we've just finished Season 3! In answer to your question, Siegfried & Mrs. Hall must get together, yes.

  17. Yes - All Creatures is definitely perfection, and I'd love to see the sr. vet and housekeeper get together. You've given me lots of new ideas for viewing, starting with season 2 of Your Honor.
