Hello, dear friends. I hope that you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We have certainly had a lot of rain, and from what the forecasters say, we are in for some more this week.
To sum up my weekend, I had two roses and one thorn.
One rose was reconnecting with some old friends. My buddy, Leah, and her husband had us over to their beautiful home along with my friend, Debbie, and her husband. The dinner was spectacular and the company even better.
The other rose came when my wallpaper installer appeared on our doorstep yesterday. He did a fabulous job, and I can't wait to share pics with you when it's all done.
The Mister took it fairly well. However, he did lose all color in his face and kept running out to the garage every twenty minutes to check the dent, mumble under his breath while simultaneously shaking his head.
Every time that he came back into the house I would remind him at least no one got hurt.
My comment was consistently met with a deafening silence.
Did I mention that we bought the car six weeks ago?
This will be my last post until September. No, the Mister did not put me in time out. I am taking the Summer off to refresh and recharge. I am hopeful that I will be back with a full house tour and be fired up with new ideas for the blog. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comment section or shoot me an email. I love to hear from you.
Today, I am linking up with my buddy, Tanya from The Other Side of the Road for Prime Purchases.
I am beginning with the Mister's purchases because they're not as exciting as mine.
He's got a thing for chargers.
He needed more lighting in his closet.
A replacement for the one we lost in the move.
We did a lot of picture hanging over the weekend.
These are a great help.
This rug pad is thick and keeps rugs in place.
For the garage, where else?
Another casualty of the move.
When the Mister is not buying chargers, he's buying razors.
Chili's new bed.
On with my orders.
Disposable for outside.
A must for my WW regime.
You can find my other Prime finds here, here, here, and here.
Stay in touch with me on Instagram!
Have a happy and healthy Summer.
Until next time...
I'm in a major organizational mode, so I am checking out the spice rack, the Tupperware lid holder, and I need more of the big glass jars. Hope you are getting all settled in!

Oh sweet Katie, wishing you the best summer ever and I am going to be highly anticipating your home tours this September! That invisible glass cleaner is the best and you know I’ve stocked up on that muffin mix, love it so much and adore you!
ReplyDeleteA suggestion for a future post - In your experience, what are the differences between living in MA and in TX, other than the weather?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful summer and steer clear of poles. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteHave a good summer Katie. I can't wait to see your new home. We finally put the last empty box in the garage yesterday. Moving in your 60s is no fun! But I am enjoying my one story home. Thanks for heads up on those closet lights. Our closet is too dark...this will be perfect.
ReplyDeleteGonna miss you this summer! Looking forward to your September posts!!! Enjoy summer 2021
ReplyDeleteHello dear Katie,
ReplyDeleteThe car. Can we talk? I scraped a cement post at the CVS drive through. What is it with a man and an automobile?!? Anyhoo, I will miss you and your quick wit and informative blogs. You have given me plenty of reading material and I appreciate it so much. I have a health issue I hope to get resolved this summer. I have to visit a specialist in Chapel Hill. His office/hospital is on UNC’s campus. Do you think I might be able to sneak in the Smith Center and see my favorite basketball team playing a pick up game? I look forward to a full house tour when you return. Wishing you and the Mister a wonderful summer.
Xx,
Maxine

ReplyDeleteMy mister buys a lot of razors too. It's a mystery that I no longer question. Chargers are another item that routinely arrive on our doorstep. Men! This is a sad time of year for me ... when my favorite blogger takes time off to enjoy her real life. But what about ME?!!! Well ... you did say home tour which gives me something to hold onto and dream of. Wishing you a fabulous summer ... I'll be counting the days until that home tour hits the blog. xo
ReplyDeleteLots of great recommendations as always! Have a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteSome good finds there. Sorry for the mishap, but assure the Mister the car lost its value long before the bump, rather when it was driven off the lost at purchase! Have a great summer.
